Authorize the Slack CLI for Your Workspace Setup (Full Transcript)

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: You installed the Slack CLI, but you need to connect it to your Slack workspace. To do so, head to your terminal and write the command slack login. This will generate a unique authorization ticket. Now you're going to want to copy the entire line, starting with the forward slash. Once you have it copied, head over into the Slack workspace you'd like to connect to, and you can paste this into any message box and press enter. Don't worry, it's not going to send any messages. Instead, a modal will pop up asking for a list of permissions that the Slack CLI needs to work in your workspace. If everything looks okay for you on that list, click confirm. Now Slack will give you a challenge code. This is the second part of the handshake. So copy that and head back over to your terminal and paste it there. You'll see a success message and that's it.
