Speaker 1: Hey guys, today I'm going to show you how to grow your subscriber base, get more watch time and make more of that YouTube money by expanding your audience globally with auto-generated subtitles in other languages. And you don't have to speak any other language to benefit from this hack I'm going to show you. But it is a little bit tricky in YouTube Studio and you may have run into a roadblock with this if you've tried it before. So today I'm going to show you the secret to getting auto-generated subtitles in other languages on your YouTube videos. Let's just dive right into it. Okay, here we are in YouTube Studio. This is my secondary channel and this video here I've not yet done the process for adding the subtitles yet. So what we're going to do is select it here in YouTube Studio and we're going to select this option here for subtitles. Now the first thing you're going to notice is that I have this extra window here that shows the top 10 languages spoken by my channel's audience. This little widget is from the TubeBuddy Chrome extension. If you've never heard me talk about TubeBuddy before, it is a Chrome extension that you download so every time you get into Google Chrome you get extra insights into your YouTube channel. It is seriously one of the main things that's helped me grow my channel here on YouTube and I definitely recommend it. I will link to it down below. But what this particular graph shows me is the languages I should be focusing on for this particular channel. So the next thing I would do is add language here in YouTube Studio and this button here is a button not from TubeBuddy but that everyone will see in YouTube Studio. And I know from my TubeBuddy graph here that my second most popular language is Hindi. So I'm going to select Hindi and then I'm going to hit the add button here for subtitles. But here's where it gets tricky. The auto-translate option is grayed out and so I don't speak Hindi so I cannot create these subtitles for this particular video. This is where it gets tricky and this is where the hack is. I'm going to close out of this window and I'm going to focus on this line here, English automatic. So I'm going to select this option here, duplicate and edit. These are subtitles that YouTube auto-generated for me after I uploaded this video. Now you should know that it could take a few hours to even a day before YouTube creates these auto-generated subtitles for you. If I didn't trust this transcription, I might play the video and read along but I know that this is pretty good here. So what I'm going to do is hit the publish button and now when I go back to my Hindi option and hit the add tab, suddenly auto-translate is enabled. So I'm going to hit the publish button. One more time, I'm going to hit add language and I know that my next popular language thanks to TubeBuddy is German and again I'm going to hit add, auto-translate and publish. Now another language you probably want to add here even if TubeBuddy doesn't show it to you in your graph is Chinese because there are a lot of Chinese speaking people on this planet. So I'm going to do that right now. So that is how you add auto-generated subtitles in other languages to your YouTube videos to really expand your subscriber base globally. Did you like this video? Did you feel like you learned something? Let me know. Give me that thumbs up. Hit that subscribe button and ring the bell so you never miss one of my videos with great YouTube growth tips. I have a whole playlist for you I'm going to put right here. Thanks for hanging out with me today. I'll see you again.
