+1 (831) 222-8398[00:00:00] Speaker 1: So I just heard from a source that the Justice Department is now investigating the Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey. This source confirms that a grand jury has issued subpoenas for both of them, though so far what we are told is that neither of them have actually received any notice of an investigation or these subpoenas themselves. We reached out to both Mayor Frey's office and Governor Tim Walz. Governor Walz didn't confirm any investigation, but likened it to other Democrats that this Justice Department has investigated. What makes this different, of course, is this comes as there are thousands of federal agents that have been surged to Minneapolis, especially after the shooting death by an ICE agent of Rene Good. Now, the Justice Department said earlier this week they are not investigating the ICE agent who shot Rene Good in this situation, but we have now learned they are investigating the Governor and the Mayor. We're told that investigation is related to obstruction of federal law enforcement. The Trump administration has been very critical of both Mayor Frey after he told ICE to get the F out of his city and Governor Walz after he was also critical of how many federal agents are on the ground in his state. This also comes as the FBI Director Kash Patel and the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch were both on the ground in Minneapolis this week, and that came after Todd Blanch was critical of Mayor Frey and Governor Walz and said that he would focus on them, and he said that was a promise, not a threat.
