Collect Video Responses With Riverside Async Recording (Full Transcript)

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: What if you needed video recordings from 10 different people, but didn't have to schedule a single video call in order to get it done? With Async Recording of Riverside, you create one link, add the question or instructions you want people to follow, and send it out. Everyone records on their own time, and their high-quality footage comes directly back into Riverside. Whether you need one customer testimonial or contributions from an entire team, here's how to set it up. Getting a video from someone else can involve a lot of coordination. You either have to find time to record together, or ask them to record themselves, upload the file, and send it back to you. Async Recording simplifies that entire process. You set up a guided recording experience in Riverside, share the link, and let each person complete it whenever they're available. You don't need to join or host a session. To get started, log into Riverside and open the studio where you want the recordings to appear. If this is for a specific project, it's not a bad idea to create a brand new studio to organize all the recordings in. From the sidebar, click the Invite to Record icon. Select Invite to Async, and then click New Link. First, give the link a name. This is only used for your own organization, so contributors won't see it. You can also upload a personal introduction video. You can use this to welcome your contributors, explain why you're collecting their responses, and let them know what to expect. Next, add the questions or instructions you want each person to follow. For a customer testimonial, you could ask, How was your experience with us? Or, What challenge did you solve? You can add a hint or some delivery guidance underneath each prompt if more context is needed. Then, choose between Guided and Scripted mode. Guided mode gives someone a question or direction to respond to naturally. Scripted mode provides specific wording for them to deliver. You can also allow them to edit that wording before they record. Finally, choose a recommended answer length. This gives contributors a clear target and helps you receive more consistent responses. You can include up to 10 prompts in a single async link. When everything is ready to go, go ahead and click Create Async Link. You can enter an email address and send the invitation directly through Riverside, or copy the link and share it yourself. The same link can be shared with multiple people, and each person can record independently, even at the same time. That makes async useful for collecting one quick response or gathering footage from an entire team, customer base, or community. When someone opens the link, they'll see your introduction and the prompts you created. They follow the instructions, record each response with their camera and microphone, and submit everything through Riverside. There's no meeting to join and no large video file to send afterward. For the complete experience, including the introduction video and every prompt, ask contributors to open the link on a computer. When someone's done with their recording, you'll receive an email with their information and a link to the recording. Their files also appear automatically in your Riverside studio under their name. From there, you can edit the footage, enhance the audio and video, add captions, branding, b-roll, create social clips, and publish the finished content. There's no separate process of downloading, transferring, and uploading every submission before you can begin editing. Now, Async is available to select business plans on Riverside and can be used for customer testimonials, product feedback, expert commentary, guest contributions, employee updates, or larger video campaigns. You provide the structure, your contributors work when it works for them, and Riverside keeps every submission organized and ready to use.
