[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Your client testimonials are some of the most powerful tools to get even more clients to come to you. Because you can say as much as you want about your tools and your product and what you offer, but hearing it from other people is just so powerful. So here's how I use Riverside to make sure that I'm recording them in high quality and creating really incredible edits of them, so that people can find them on social media or YouTube or wherever they want to find any client testimonials of yours to convince them to take the leap. So here's how I do that. The first thing that you want to do when you're doing these client testimonials is that you want to understand what you want to get out of them. So for example, you want to know if you want it to be a testimonial that's about how your product helped them. Or maybe it's about just getting to know your clients so that other people can see themselves in them as well and relate to them. It can also be both. So for example, if you want to talk with a user and say, hey, this is how Riverside helped you, but I also want to know more about who you are and create two different videos out of it, you can do that as well. So let me give you an example. We spoke with a user from Riverside named Mal, and she is the host of the Doll Mom podcast. So first we wanted to hear about how Riverside helped her create her podcast, but I also wanted to create a video for our community so that other people can see themselves and other users of the community and feel that connection. So we asked her questions and wrote down on a piece of paper questions about how she was creating her podcast before and how she was creating it after, so you can show that transition. Other questions like, why did you get started? What do you love most about creating? So maybe on a piece of paper or in a doc, you want to write some questions that will lead to the kind of answers that you want to get out of the kind of ad or testimonial video that you want to create. Do that, bounce a few questions, but also make sure in your client testimonial that you leave room for discussion. So there might be a real point that you'd love to follow up. Don't just stick to those questions. Make it more like an interview. Make people feel comfortable. The next thing you do is that you're going to want to connect with your client. So you might know a client that is particularly friendly or open to be talking about something that you want to discuss. Maybe they are just a client with a story who is so incredibly raw and that you want to share with the world or maybe they had just an incredible transformation while using your product. Use one of those clients to create your testimonial and then you can hop on a pre-call with them to make sure that their video is exactly how you want it to look. Make sure that that background is how you'd like it to be. Make sure that the lighting is how you want it to look and make sure that you set up a rapport with your client so that they feel really comfortable talking on camera with you because that is how you get those incredible clippable moments that you can use to create those videos that you'd like to get. So here she is and you can see that we set up the shots that you can really see her fun background. You could see that big chair that she uses along with all of the dolls in the background. It just makes it really dynamic. But the thing that we also loved about her is how earnest and honest and excited she was about creating content. So right from the beginning, you'll have hooks and clips made for you from your testimonial. You can also create them yourself. And so what I did is I went to go to create and edit and then it'll bring up your full recording so that you can go through and pull all of your favorite quotes and create from there. So right from my editor, what I'm going to do first is without really creating any fancy design, any layout, anything like that is I just go through and I listen. We're going to make a five minute video out of this or one minute video even for social and we recorded for almost an hour and a half so that we can get multiple different kinds of videos out of this. You can record for 30 minutes and get a one to two minute video out of it. Whatever and however you want to get those key moments and just really make them into a dynamic video. So right off the top, I will just go through and highlight and delete anything that I want to delete. I also, if I find a moment that I love, let's say right over here. She said something that I absolutely love. I'm going to highlight it and I'm going to make a comment to say love what she said or I can say even something like the quote that she said. Great. So that's how she learned. Awesome. I'll add a comment here and you'll see that it adds this comment right above. This is going to help me as I edit. So I'm going to go through add all of those comments and also if you want to see exactly what they said, the cool thing here is that if I highlighted this and said, I love this, I can actually zoom in and see on the timeline exactly what she said right here. So the timeline also has the transcript. So it's much easier to be able to identify different quotes. So after going through that whole transcript, I identified some key points that I love from the video and so you could see here in this timeline that I chopped it all up. I what I would do is every time that I found a moment that I loved I would go through press that S and then create kind of this little block of text to be able to pick it up move it around wherever I'd like and it created this story of this creator that I wanted to highlight. So just go through your transcript mark all of those moments that you love and then isolate those moments to create kind of a highlight reel from here. I just go to the front and I wanted to be one by one. You can make it 9 by 16 16 by 9 if you'd like just to be able to have it native for any platform. So we wanted this to be on social media. So we did it one by one. We could also do 9 by 16, but I just really loved that background for the dolls and then I'll do things like create different transitions between it. Maybe I want it to fade over here. Maybe I want to add captions. I already have these captions here in my branding and in the end we created a testimonial that looks like this and so just by recording an interview cutting up and editing it yourself you create some incredible organic content that you can use as client testimonials because your clients and your users telling exactly why they love your product and why they love what they do connect so powerfully with the people that are watching it. So it's really easy to create such powerful content just recording with your clients editing it and putting it out in the world. And so that's how you can create those testimonials using Riverside a little bit of editing and a lot of love from your users and put it out in the world so that other people can celebrate it too.
