[00:00:00] Speaker 1: In D.C. right now, a significant number of people, protesters, have gathered in order to protest what just happened in Minneapolis, where an ICE agent shot Rene Good. Now, I spoke to several protesters, one of which was actually from Minnesota, and he said that when he heard of the news, he was actually shocked that this transpired in his home state. And he said that, despite the weather, it was more now more important than ever to come out and really show his support of the protest, but, more importantly, send a strong message that what happened was unacceptable. Now, I asked other protesters, what would they like members of Congress to do, and if this is really a time that lawmakers should come together and try to pass legislation to slightly reform the ICE federal agency, and here's what they had to say.

[00:00:37] Speaker 2: They just need to take control again. They're just lying down and letting Trump walk all over them. The Democrats aren't very organized. The Republicans are just spineless, spineless. They're kowtowing to Trump, and I don't understand why.

[00:00:54] Speaker 1: Now, as you can see, a lot of protesters feel very passionate about what has happened, but most importantly, they are fearful that something like this will happen again, and so they really are looking to lawmakers and to other state officials to pass legislation in order to reform the federal agency of ICE and really, to really send a strong message that they do not agree with what the Trump administration is doing.
