Speaker 1: Hello everybody, this is Kevin back with Inspiring How You See That. So today we are back again with DaVinci Resolve and we had some questions about the closed captioning and or the script text, where to find that. And this is just going to be a quick video where to find that and then we'll keep making other videos on, you know, how to add it if you have questions on that, where to, you know, where you want to put it, so on and so forth. But this is just where to find it. So again, make sure that you're not confusing this for the free program you have. This is part of the paid programming with DaVinci and if you can get the paid programming, we would definitely, definitely recommend that it there's so many, so many benefits to that and we're going to be covering that all in, you know, 2024, probably into 2025. DaVinci is a great program and they have so much more at, you know, DaVinci with their tools in their studios. So you go into the timeline is where you want to go again, timeline, and you'll go into create subtitles from audio. So this is where you'd want to add it and of course you want to have your, your whatever highlighted that you can see ours is highlighted there. The film that you had recorded, whatever you want the subtitles or the closed caption on just have to have highlighted. And as soon as you go into your timeline, click that, the little drop down menu comes down and you can add several different languages. That's what's nice is they keep updating new languages. And as the, as they always say, we'll update your studio, update your studio. This is why, because they always put new updates in it all the time. Right now there's several different languages there to choose from the most common ones right now. And they'll probably be adding more, but you will want to, of course, keep it mostly all the way it is now. That's what I would recommend. You can actually shorten this down to the characters if you only want 24 characters per line in, you know, as you're talking and you can even see it going through in our, our segment here. That's why we have it on there. Or you can, you know, shorten it or lengthen it. I would just keep 42. You can either have a single line or a double line. I would just keep a single line and you can, you know, do frames. And then as soon as you click create the processing on the paid program is so quick. I mean it, it will literally go through, even if it's a five minute video, it'll go through it in seconds. Now, if it's a longer one, you know, 10, 15 minutes, then it'll go through it a little bit. You know, it might take 15, 20 seconds. I don't know. It all depends on not only the computer you're using and the processing, but DaVinci as well. So that's how you do that. And as we get into, you know, future videos, we'll talk about how, you know, any of the holdups that you're having, you know, where to, you know, find some of these other options that are available. There's so much to do within DaVinci and so many editing options and, you know, we'll cover these all in short segments. So we hope you enjoy this video and we'll see you on the next one.
