+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: If I want to do this work one record at a time, the task is fairly simple. All I have to do is select my record and then hit the set button to map that record, to map the IP transcriptions onto that record. Those dictionaries we have in FON sometimes are missing words. So, and this is a case that we can see here with the second example where the word loss which means walrus is missing from the dictionary. In this case what FON will do is generate, just replace, assign a phonetic transcription you know represented by a star by saying just as a way to say well I don't know this word so I don't want to put any kind of you know like dubious form in there. So in contexts like that we have methods to add words to the dictionary but in the present context if the word is pretty exceptional then the user can simply enter the word manually. So you can just type the phonetic transcription for the word morse which is M followed by an open O and I'll get back to the IP map in another tutorial and then get the R of French and S and at that point all I can do I will I can save a bit of time by copying and pasting my form and then continuing to the next record. Map things again. If you want to automatically map or assign phonetic transcriptions to all of your session transcript you can click on the auto transcribe button which will give you a wizard and the wizard might just simply be used to enter IP transcriptions for all of the participants or for only one or you know a subset of the participants. So in this case we're focusing on the child only so I will just remove the father from this selection and map the transcriptions and at that point all of the records for the child will be filled with idealized transcriptions.
