Speaker 1: So in this video, I'm gonna show you how to get translated subtitle files done for free. This is part of my translation series where I go over how to translate an entire e-learning course into a new language. And by the way, I do sell a book that goes over everything I cover in the videos, so you can have your very own manual for reference. It's pretty nice. It's actually what I use for reference. Okay, so here I am at translatesubtitles.co. Okay, so first upload your caption file. And so here it's gonna show you the original text and then the translated text, which has not been translated yet. You've got to choose your language over here and then select translate. Here's your translated text, and then you will choose download. Okay, and then when you're ready to do a new one, you go new translation and upload your new caption file. So let's try this one. Again, shows you the original text, the translated text that has not been translated yet, and let's choose Croatian. Click translate. Here's the new file, and then download. Now, you might be wondering, yeah, but what about getting these subtitles to begin with? Because getting the subtitle files in general takes a long time if you've got to do them manually, which that is the old way of doing things. I'm gonna show you the new way of doing things. What I use is Cockatoo. So basically you upload a file, and then you have your list of transcripts here. So here's all kinds of media files. So when I say upload a file, I mean an MP3 or an MP4. So you upload it, and then it actually pulls in the entire transcript, and then you can export that then as an SRT file, which is a subtitle file. And then if you need it in a different file format, you can actually find converters all over the place. But this website actually also has one too, Subtitles Converter. You can upload your existing file type and convert it to a different file type. That's one way to get your subtitle files. Another way is to actually use YouTube. So if you upload your videos to YouTube, you actually get subtitle files for free. So let me show you how to do that. I'm gonna click on one of my videos, go down to Subtitles, and you can see they have actually generated them for me. You go to the three-dot menu, download, and you choose the file type that you want to work with. There's a caption file. And now I can go and I can translate that. Oh, I'm not at the translator. Go here, we'll translate that to Spanish. Spanish, there we go, translate, download, and there you have it. So then you can go back to YouTube and add a language. I can add the Spanish language, and that's one way you can make all your YouTube videos more accessible. So anyway, there you go. That's how to translate subtitles quick and free. That's the most important part. And by the way, did I mention the book? I think I did. That's going to review how to do that, and it has so many other things, like including all of the options Eleven Labs has for translating media, and they are very cheap and affordable. Nothing like the other translation services that I have looked into. This one is the best. Better subscribe to the channel so you get access to this video. Have a super day.
