Speaker 1: Dictate to Us is an app that works on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and also the iPad, and it allows you to record audio and dictate it to this company that then transcribes it into text and delivers it to you in a Word document. Now, of course, there are other solutions to do this, but none of them are accurate to the T, like this one is, and they don't deliver your information to you in a nice document, which, of course, is ready to go. So some of the different things that you might be thinking is, why would you want to outsource your dictation? It's obviously cheaper. There's no initial setup fees. The service is available 24-7, 365 days a year. You don't have to hire people to do this dictation. I mean, I know if you've been thinking about dictating your notes or whatever it is to have them transcribed, you're thinking, gosh, that's just expensive, or I have to have employees for that. You don't have to do that, or if you're not at work and you need to dictate stuff to get done, you can do that easily, have it translated, and then, of course, give the printout to somebody else or give them the Word document. So what we're looking at is my recording section here. It shows my recordings, which I can go and look at my account and see how many recordings I have. I can go to the recorder. Let's go back to recordings and see that I have... Let's tap on my account again. I have one that I finished, one that's been transcribed, a job right here. It came in from my iPhone. Here's my document right here. I can listen to the dictation that I gave out, and so what's cool also is that you get basically five minutes free as a trial, so you could try this out and see how it works for you. It's easy to use. Let's just simply go right in here and record a dictation. Hey, this is Jared with The Daily App Show, and today I am testing DTU Dictate to Us. Hit pause. I could then give it a title. Let's just call this one test number two. Done. I can categorize it. I can play it back. Hey, this is Jared with The Daily... There it is, and I can go to actions. I could just save it if I want to save it, or if I want to send it out to transcribe, I could simply do that, and it just really quickly does that, goes and uploads it, and sends it out, and then it goes into pending, and when it's pending, then it'll let us know by email that we've got a new transcription, and then when it's done, it'll let us know also that it is completed. So yes, that is the organized way to do transcriptions, but there is also a quick way. There's the Express tab. If you need to get in here and get a transcription done fast and just save it right away, and then you can go back in and manage it later, simply use this screen here, the Express. Touch or shake twice to record, and then it's just going to go, and then of course you can stop it, and then you're done, and you can come back in and organize that later. Under settings, we have our account setup, which you're going to go ahead and need to set up an account to try this out. We have information on transcription right here, so we could learn more about it. Use encryption. So of course, why not if it's available? When you launch the app, what shows up? New recording, list of previous recording, or Express mode. After Express, do you want it to save or directly send it out? I would suggest save because maybe if you record something and mess up and it automatically uploads it, then it's going to use up some of your time. This is really cool. Use Bluetooth input, which means simply put on your headset, put on your Bluetooth earpiece, and dictate away. No need to even hold the phone up to your ear. You can simply use your Bluetooth headset or whatever it is that you're familiar with using, which you've probably used if you've done dictation before. So very cool. So let's recap. We have our organized input here where we can go and categorize and view all of our stuff and record new items. We have our recordings tab, which shows all recordings and non-categorized ones. We can hit plus here to add new categories, or of course we can edit those categories as well. The Express tab allowing us to get in and record quickly, and then the settings tab allowing us to make changes to the application, of course. So definitely cool. Dictate to us. D2U, new for the iPhone, works great even on the iPad. So check it out in the App Store today.
