+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: Three of these words helped me get to where I am today, and I'll tell you how. Ever since I was little, I always enjoyed trying new things and making the most of it. My name is Brittany Pham, and this is me. A basketball player, which I became self-aware of my skills, determination, and realized that it takes practice to prove results. A creator, who thinks outside the box with limitless possibilities. A singer, allowing me to express myself to people around the world. A dancer, allowing me to be confident in who I am and what I can do. Taking on these different activities has made me realize that we have so little time and so much to do, so why not take a risk and see where your potential truly lies. In order to try new things, we need to be willing to learn. Traveling has been an opportunity to get immersed in new cultures and get acquainted with my true self. It has allowed me to learn and adapt in different situations and personalities. In the essence of time and learning, I had to be willing to do it. Being a part of the Asian Business Student Association and the TED Bauer Leadership Program has helped me build my confidence, leadership skills, and time management. This opened up a new opportunity to take on my first sales internship with Mattress Firm, placing second out of the six interns in total sales revenue. Here I am today, a marketing major at the University of Houston in the Bauer College of Business, looking for more opportunities in sales that will allow me to constantly grow and focus on what it takes to get to where I want. And that's where I applied and got accepted into the number one sales program in the nation. The Program for Excellence in Selling allowed me to showcase my sales skills, be passionately invested in the program, and be aware of my own personal brand. With hard work and persistence, I was able to challenge myself to reach my goal. I not only accomplished my goal, but surpassed it by being second in activities, third in total sales revenue, and second to bringing golf players. Being aware of the essence of time, the ability to learn and grow, and execute in any given situation has shaped me to who I am today. I have the tenacity to push myself to take on new opportunities, and I want to continue to do so.
