Speaker 1: How much of the python skills are needed for a data analyst job? This has become one of the most frequently asked questions and I'm going to answer that question today. Please do this thing go to linkedin jobs and search for data analyst jobs and read the job description of each of these jobs and you will find that 70 percent of jobs do not require any python or r programming knowledge okay Wait a minute These are the jobs that can be done using Excel SQL and BI tool skills when I say BI tool either Power BI or Tableau right So most of the jobs do not require any programming knowledge Using the three skills that I talked about you can pretty much do your job in some of the other jobs They say Python is a plus. It's a not a mandatory skill but having Python knowledge obviously is going to add some plus points in your profile and there are few Data analyst jobs where they do use Python and require that as a mandatory skills Now if a given job is requiring you to have Python skills Then in that also you need to know just Python basics such as for loops variables data types, you know dictionary list tuples and such functions etc and then for doing data cleaning data transformation Etc. You will be using a library called pandas in pandas. You need to know once again just the basics, you know how to load data into a data frame how to create new columns how to Do data transformation data cleaning fill any things like that? So just the basics and these basics are very easy to learn. I have a tutorial playlist on pandas which is very popular on YouTube you can check that just watch initial I would say 10-12 videos and I have Python playlist as well if you want to do a proper project based learning then I have a nice Python course as well I'm going to provide a link of that but in summary you don't have to worry too much about programming okay once again I will summarize the answer of this question which is 60 to 70% of data analyst jobs do not require any Python knowledge there is some percentage where having Python knowledge is a plus and remaining jobs require Python knowledge but there also you need to know just basics of Python and basics of pandas. I hope you found this video to be useful if you did please give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends so that they can also get appropriate guidance as far as this question is concerned.
