Flexible and Supportive Transcription Careers at Allegis: Real Experiences (Full Transcript)

Speaker 1: I heard about Allegis from another student who was doing transcription work for him and I decided to apply. And not a week later, I was off and running.

Speaker 4: I would tell someone who's interested in becoming a transcriptionist to do your research first.

Speaker 2: I feel that as long as you're disciplined and you sit down and get your work done, it is a win-win for everybody in the situation, and that I would recommend it to anyone, especially at-home moms like I was.

Speaker 3: Working with Allegis gives me the flexibility to be able to spend more time with my family and with my business. My husband in particular has a rotating schedule, so I'm able to plan my work hours when he's working so that when he's home, I get to spend more time with him.

Speaker 2: Working as an independent contractor works very well for my lifestyle. I've been doing this for 15 years. I started doing it when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. It has allowed me to be there for my family, raise them without having to send them to daycare.

Speaker 4: I am a Spanish and American Sign Language major, and a linguistics minor at Western Oregon University. Working at Allegis is work from home, but really it's work from anywhere, as long as you have Wi-Fi.

Speaker 1: Allegis can be a full-time job. I've been making enough money to support my family for two years while my daughter's grown up. Now that she's in school, my wife is working on her own career.

Speaker 2: Allegis really is, in my mind, above anyone else that I have worked for in the past. They are very personal. They're there for you, and to help you better your career.

Speaker 3: You can type a few reports, get up, go out in the garden, cut some flowers, tend the tomatoes, come back in, work a few more. And that's the best about working with Allegis, is that you have that flexibility.
