It can record your meetings, transcribe them, summarize them, pull out action items, and it has a ton of features built around the sales team. But today we're going to be comparing it with HappyScribe, which takes a slightly different approach. Because on the surface, both of these look very similar. They record meetings, they transcribe them, and they both have AI. So the question is, which one should you actually use? So let me guide you through this. Okay, so the biggest difference between these two is pretty simple. Firefly's is built around your meetings, whereas HappyScribe is built around your conversations. And I know that sounds like marketing language, but you'll see what I mean. Firefly's is very focused on meeting happens, Firefly's records it, you get your transcript, you get your summary, you get your action items, and then it can push that information into your CRM. That's a really good workflow, especially if you're a sales team. And HappyScribe also does all of that, but it also treats a transcript as a starting point for where everything else happens. And that's where I think the comparison gets quite interesting. So let's start off with actually recording a meeting. One thing I personally care about with AI note-takers is how they record. Well, HappyScribe gives you a few options to work with. You can have the note-taker automatically join your Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams meetings, but you can also record directly from your browser without installing an extension. And if the conversation already happened, you can just upload the recording. And you also have the mobile app if you're recording something in person. Firefly's has bot-based recordings as well as desktop options for capturing meetings. So both are pretty flexible here. But I would give HappyScribe the edge here simply because I also want to know who said what. HappyScribe identifies the different speakers in the transcript, and I can even rename them. So instead of looking at a giant wall of text, I can actually follow the conversation. And then there's the side of accuracy. HappyScribe is fundamentally built around transcription, and it supports 150 plus languages and dialects. If you're working with international teams or multilingual conversations, this is one of the biggest advantages. Firefly supports 100 plus languages as well, but its strongest accuracy is still around English. So if your entire team is English, this may not matter. But if you're switching between languages during calls, maybe HappyScribe might be a better option for you here. Now let's talk about the AI. Because here's where both products are obviously trying to go. You no longer really want to read an hour-long worth of a transcript. You just want to ask questions about it. For example, inside HappyScribe, I can open the AI chat and ask things like, what were the main decisions made from this meeting? And because the transcript is underneath everything, I'm actually interacting with the conversation rather than just getting five bullet point summary. Firefly has Ask French, which does a very similar thing. And I actually think Firefly is particularly strong here, especially if you're working within sales. Because you've got conversation intelligence, CRM integration, sales focused AI features and workflows designed around keeping your pipeline updated. So if you're thinking, I want my sales calls automatically turned into CRM data, Firefly is a really strong option. Now the biggest difference is after the meeting. And this is possibly the biggest reason I would personally choose HappyScribe. Let's say I've recorded a podcast interview. I need the transcript, but I also need the subtitles. Maybe I want to translate the subtitles. Maybe I need to edit the transcript. Maybe even I want it professionally proofread. Well, with HappyScribe, all of that can happen in the same conversation. I think this is where HappyScribe separates itself from being that traditional AI meeting note taker. Firefly is really good at identifying what happens in that meeting. So if you're an English speaking sales team doing a huge amount of calls per month, and all you want to do is record, transcribe, summarize and send the CRM, then Firefly makes a bit more sense for you. You shouldn't have to pay for a feature you don't need. So after comparing the two, which one would I choose? For me, it's HappyScribe. But it's not because Firefly is bad. Firefly is a really great product if you're managing meetings and sales. It's cheaper and it even has strong CRM integrations. And it has really good sale intelligent features. But what I found is HappyScribe is doing something broader. It's a meeting note taker. But it's also a transcription platform, an AI workspace for conversations, a subtitle tool, a translation tool, an editor, and a place where you can keep coming back to the conversations you've already had. And that's why for me, HappyScribe wins 2026.
