Speaker 1: Okay, hello everybody, I just want to remind one thing, this channel is not designed for one thing only, you'll never know what will be coming up next on this channel, so you want to subscribe and like, or subscribe and know that this channel is not designed for one thing, you'll never know what will come up next, it can be anything, it's not designed for one specific thing, so it's cool to know that you'll never know what I'm going to come up next. So let's get to the video. So in this video I want to show you guys how to put little subtitles in your videos or Or even if you want to translate your video to a language, you could do that using this technique and I'm going to show you guys right now. Or if you just want to put a little note on there, like saying this one, my dog is not feeling good, look behind. Or you want to give a little close here and there, or if you made a mistake saying something or a measurement and you want to fix that, you can always use this technique to fix that. So what you do is, and you can put a little comment and fix that without having to redo the whole video over again, okay? So go to Subtitles here, Closed Captions here up top. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you right now. First thing you want to do is go to My Channel, or you can log into your channel right through here. Go to Video Creator Studio, or just go to My Channel here. That's what I'm going to do. And once you're here, go to Video Manager. So however you get to Video Manager, this is done in Video Manager. So go to Video Manager. Right there, click on it. Okay, once you do that, find the video that you want to add your subtitles or closed captions or a little note on there. You can do that throughout the whole video either way, put notes anywhere. I'm going to show you guys. There's timing, there's everything. It teaches you everything here, so stick with me. So go to edit right there. Find the video and go to edit. Okay, once you're in edit, look up here in the top right corner. in the top right corner, it says Subtitles, Closed Caption. OK, click on that right there. OK, what's going to happen here is you're going to get this set video language. You want to pick the language that you want. OK, so it could be Spanish and English, it's the ones they have. But you can pick any other languages right there. So in this case, I'm going to type the words in English. So I'll press English, OK? And then once I press English, default for new uploads, don't touch that. Just press Set Language, which is English in this case already. Just set the language. And what you want to do is, what YouTube is doing, it's translating everything for your right. It already translated. That's why it's green. So you want to click on that and click on this right there. On the little green arrow, it says English Automatic. As you can see, YouTube translated everything here. You can leave that. And if you want to just translate your video, and you want to translate it. Or in this case, what we're going to do, since we just want to add a little text there, and we don't want to do that, we're going to press Unpublish, OK? Unpublish the words there, because YouTube just translated the whole video. Press Unpublish. You don't want to press Edit. want to unpublish and then you delete draft so delete draft so you want to delete draft you want to delete all these you can always put it back if you wanted to click delete draft you can practically do this over and over the draft okay so now and you press draft discard it close that out this is It's a brand new 2017 video, all the way to 2018 almost. So you want to add a new subtitles or a closed caption. So click on that. Once you click on that, it's going to give you the option again for English. In this case, stick to the English because we're doing English subtitles or notes or whatever you want to call this. And then what you want to do is, if you want to upload a file, something you already have translated on, you can do that, translate the whole video before, and then put it on, upload the video, and YouTube will sync the words of the speech on there. But let's not talk about that right now. What you want to do next is subscribe, transcribe, and add a sync. So you want to do that. Click on that right there. OK, so let's say you want to say something about your video.

Speaker 2: So you want to say, look at the background, OK?

Speaker 1: So, you want people to look at the background, set timing, okay, just click on set timing. And then once you do that, you're going to go to English, it's going to put this here, see how the little dot is not green yet? What we want to do is we want to click on here, settings timing. And what it's going to do, it's going to load it. It doesn't even take that much. See, now you have the options to get the times in and everything. So what you want to do is save changes. OK, when you save the changes, see how it's green now? Now you can edit it, the whole thing, you can write in it. So what you do here is click on the little English green dot now. Click on that. If you follow the instructions just the way I'm doing it, you'll have no problem whatsoever with this whole typing words and editing and subtitling and everything. So what you want to do is click edit up here now and you're going to be able to edit. So you can add more time here if you want. See there's one, you can exit out. So what you want to do is, these are the minutes right here. And these are the seconds. And the 3 is the tenths of a second. So let's say I want the writing that I wrote on there to start at, let's say, two seconds. OK, so I want it to start two seconds, OK? So if you wanted to change the timing here, like I said, or you can just go here. See, the video is going to end at 7.2. I mean, the writing, look at the background. So it'll start at 0, 0, 0, 0.3 tenths of a second. And or you can make it to start at 2 seconds of the video, OK? That means when you play the video, it won't show. See, it won't show till about 2. Then it'll start playing right there at 2.2 cents a second. You can make sure. It says to stop at 0.7, 0.2. Or you can make it stop whenever you want. Watch once it gets to 0.72. it'll go away. OK. See, now I just went away because I already passed that. So what you want to do there is, depends how long you want the writing to be on there, you know? Let's say I want the writing to be there a little bit longer. So I want that writing to be all the way to, let's say, 12 seconds. And I want it to start there. So what I do is I'll do that. See the writing will be on there. Once you press Play on that video, it'll be there. Look at the background all the way till it gets to 12 seconds. That's how long that will be there. And then you can say, look at the background. Now, blah, blah, you can do that. Once you got all that figured out, what you do next is press, go to Save Changes, so click on Save Changes. Overwrite the existing subtitles, publish, yes. And practically, there it is. If I press Play on the video, this is published English. It's green, so it means you're good. Anytime anybody plays the video anywhere else, what will happen is they'll have that tape. You can do that throughout the video, anywhere in the video. So like we say, we'll play the video right here. So remember, it's going to play now. So if you want to check it out, just click on there. Or go to your video on another channel, open up the same tab of the same video, which I will do that right now so you guys can see that it's there. I'll type in, I'll finish T1 is the name of this video. But if we press Play here, you guys will see that's there. And I'll start, see, there it is. And like I said, you can do this anywhere on the video. So watch, you can go anywhere on the video, anywhere, anywhere. You can click on, go on here, and go anywhere on the video. OK, so if you press Edit, press Edit here, and now this will pop up. If you want to put another note somewhere else in the video, you can put Add here. And it'll open up another little of these boxes. You can keep doing that, and it'll keep changing the video to wherever that timing is. And that's when you can put another note on there. So you can do that throughout the whole video. This video is not even long. It's like, I believe it's, let's see, 29 minutes, 31. I think it's like 45. I don't really know how long is it but oh yeah 57 minutes so I can do that throughout the whole video okay so save changes now let's go see if the video is going to show up and then publish it and you're set mess around with a little bit more and you'll figure it out subscribe and like guys give me a big thumbs up if you want another part of this video please let me know I'll make a second part of how to do the now this now you can be these closed captions or subtitles we'll be able to show anywhere on your video uh when someone watches it and uh you can even translate the video so big give it a big thumbs up and remember this video is designed for different kinds of activities not just one so you'll never know what i'll come up next thanks very much subscribe and like
