+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: Hello. Welcome to a brief tutorial on making interlibrary loan requests. Sometimes, when using the library's all-in-one search, you will find a book you want to use, but it is not located at one of the RCCC library locations. The good news is that if you are a current RCCC student, staff, or faculty member, you can submit a request to have the book sent to your RCCC campus library. Once you have found the book that you want and opened up the information page on it, you will see a request button in the top right corner. This button will allow you to access the interlibrary loan request form. Click on it. This will open a new window. Read the information on interlibrary loan, then click begin. Fill out all of the information that it asks for, your name, email, your phone number, and if you are a RCCC faculty, staff, or student. Please remember that only RCCC faculty, staff, and students can use the interlibrary loan program. When you click yes, you will be prompted to give your student or employee ID number. Choose book as the material type. All of the information asked for here, title, author, publication date, and ISBN, are located on the previous page, which you can get back to by clicking on the window. Here you can find title, author, publication date, ISBN, and location. The easiest way to get this material into the form is to copy and paste it. Select where you want to pick up the book, and say if it was owned by an RCCC library. Then hit submit. Thank you for watching our tutorial on interlibrary loan requests. Have questions or need more help? We are always available to help. You can come into the library, email one of our librarians, call us, or use our convenient Ask Us chat service. Links to our library's homepage, hours of operation, and Ask Us chat service are included in the description below.
