Speaker 1: In this tutorial we're going to do a pickup recording. This could be a pickup of a mistake in your narration. Now before we do anything let's just go to preferences to make sure that we've actually set it up. In preferences go to interface and in the interface make sure that record with pre-roll is ticked off. There you go. Now we're ready to record. I'm going to arm the track and here we can see that we have an input and if we want to adjust the input we can do that with the input volume control here. Now I can just begin recording. As you can see there was already a little pre-roll. This will come in handy in a second. So now as I'm recording I might make a mistake. So I want to punch in here in my recording. So I can just stop my recording and place my playhead where I want to punch in or pick up the recording. If I press record now I will have a pre-roll and it will continue recording like this. I might make a mistake. So now we're continuing recording. Obviously we could also set our playhead using the keys. So if I press stop now I can with the arrow keys rewind. Say this is where I want to punch in. I could also use scrub. Say this is just where I want to pick up my recording. Now that I've set my playhead I just press record. I get a pre-roll and now I can continue recording.
