Speaker 1: Alright guys, I just want to show you guys something real quickly. I'm doing this video, currently I'm between cameras, I literally don't own a camera right now. The only camera I own actually is the Osmo Action, but I just want to show you something real quick that I was doing here, I thought it would be beneficial for you guys. So I'm currently editing a project for FIU here, and I just want to show you an issue that I came across here on one of the dialogue, on a dialogue on one of my interviewees here. So I'm going to play this back for you guys.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of the graduates.

Speaker 1: Did you guys hear that? So it's a little clipping noise, I don't know what that was, I don't know why I didn't capture it in the beginning, or when I was shooting, but it seems like it's this little hit right there. I think that's what that is.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of the...

Speaker 1: No, it's actually over here somewhere, so ignore that part. So it's over here somewhere.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of the graduates.

Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, but it's very distracting and I definitely want to remove that. Let me just show you really quickly how easy it is to remove this. I'm going to right click on that clip, that one clip that I need to have removed, the little piece of audio removed, and I'm going to go edit clip in Adobe Audition. So here's the clip.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of the...

Speaker 1: So it looks like, and you want to make sure that you have activated the waveform here, the spectral frequency here on the top left, to make sure that you can see everything clearly here. I don't have a keyboard here, but I know vaguely how to do this part here. This is my audio. This is the spectral frequency. Now I can see this differently here.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of...

Speaker 1: It looks like this right here is the hit. You can physically see the actual... We currently hire many of... It's this little part right here that I need to remove. Now what I'm going to do is come up here and use the spot healing brush, this little brush right here. Photoshop basically has something like this, the healing brush, and all I'm going to do is just highlight basically everything that I kind of want to have removed, which is that whole hit and anything that comes along after that. Again, I'm no expert, but Adobe Audition makes this very easy. So I'm just going to remove that and see what this sounds like here. So as you can see, I just removed the whole thing. I took it out. Let's see what that sounds like.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of the graduates.

Speaker 1: Beautiful.

Speaker 2: Sounds perfect. We currently hire many of the graduates that come.

Speaker 1: So I was able to go in there, not mess with her voice. I was only able to remove that hit that you heard in the background. I'm going to hit save on that. And then when I go back to Premiere, it replaces that audio with what I just did. Hit save again. Let's hear that.

Speaker 2: We currently hire many of the graduates that come.

Speaker 1: Beautiful. Sounds great. I hope this was helpful for you guys. And for sure, in interviews, when you hear things like that, try this little technique and see if that works out for you. It's helped me a lot, just like it did right now. So thanks for watching.
