Speaker 1: In this video, we will learn how to upload and track XAPI content on Moodle LMS. Requirements Running Moodle LMS Tin Can Launch Link Plugin GrassBlade Cloud LRS or any other learning record store. Let's download and install Tin Can Launch Link plugin. Download link is available in description. Go to versions and click download button on the latest version. Now the plugin is downloaded, let's install it.

Speaker 2: Go to Moodle LMS. Click on your profile avatar and then click on preferences.

Speaker 1: In the administration section on left, expand the site administration option. Find the plugins link, expand it. Now click on the install plugins option. Click on choose a file option to find and drop your plugin file from PC or just drag and drop it in the box. Click install plugin from the zip file button to upload your file. Click continue button after successful validation. Click upgrade Moodle database now to make required changes. Once process is completed, click continue. You will be redirected to the LRS configurations. Here you need three things. Endpoint URL, Auth User and Auth Pass of your LRS. Here we are using GrassBlade Cloud LRS. You can use other LRS also. Follow these steps to find these details in GrassBlade Cloud LRS.

Speaker 2: Go to my profile. Go to my profile.

Speaker 1: Click add new basic auth token to generate user password. It already there in my case.

Speaker 2: Let's copy and paste it.

Speaker 1: Once you are done, click save changes to connect with LRS. Let's try to upload an xAPI content zip file. Here we will use Articulate Storyline 360 content. Let's add a new course. Go to Moodle Home and click Courses. Then in Add a new course. Now enter the name and other basic details.

Speaker 2: Click Save and Display. You can add the users in the next step. But let us skip it for now. Click Proceed to Course Content button. Your course is ready. Now let's add XAPI content.

Speaker 1: Click Add an activity or resource option. On any topic, you want to add XAPI content. Find and select the Tink and Launch link option.

Speaker 2: And click Add button.

Speaker 1: Enter basic details for your XAPI content and scroll down to Launch Settings tab. Click in the drop arrow. Select Upload a file option from the left sidebar. Click on the Choose File to select your XAPI content zip file from PC.

Speaker 2: After selection, click Upload your file button.

Speaker 1: Once you are done with other settings, click Save and Display button. It will redirect you to the XAPI content page. But we will attempt it from the course page by following proper navigation.

Speaker 2: You can drag and drop this content on any topic. Let's stop editing. Follow this step to play your content and track data in the GrassBlade Cloud RS. Click on the content title.

Speaker 1: Now click Launch link to open XAPI content in the new tab. First, we will check a few slides and attempt one quiz question to test whether LRS is properly connected or not. Here in the activity stream, we can see attempted, experienced and answered statements of the content. It means it is working properly.

Speaker 2: Let's complete the whole content and see all the statements in the GrassBlade Cloud RS.

Speaker 1: After completion, you can see the past verb with score and time taken information in the LRS. Below this content, you can also check answers given to all the question of the content, including an experienced statement for all the viewed slides. Click on the plus icon before the serial number to expand the section. Now click on Quiz Report button to check reports in a clean user interface. There you can have three attempts of the content. It is because I did attempt the same content previously for the practice of this tutorial. The last attempt is the current one. You can match the completion timing. Click on the View Details button to see full and clean reports, including points correct and incorrect answers. It also includes responses to the survey questions like essays or text inputs. Similarly, you can check report for all attempts individually. By following this method, you can use and track XAPI content on your Moodle LMS. It does not support XAPI content natively but this method is working for now. XAPI content will not work without an LRS. GrassBlade Cloud LRS can be your choice or you can use any other LRS too.
