How to Use WhatsApp's New Audio-to-Text Transcription Feature (Full Transcript)

Speaker 1: Hello, in this video I am going to show you the new official function of WhatsApp that transcribes WhatsApp audio or voice messages to text immediately. For some reason that I do not know, WhatsApp enabled this function on my phone a long time ago and not everyone has it, so I like to be able to show them in this video. If you look, I just sent an audio with the phone from the right to the phone from the left and it was sent but no type of transcription was sent . Now we are going to do the opposite, we are going to send an audio with the phone from the left to the phone from the right and if you look, a message appears that I made transcribing in Spanish and after a few seconds the text of the WhatsApp voice message appears and when we play as it is reproduced the words are marked. We are going to do another test and you will see that in a matter of seconds the audio is transcribed to text, I do not have any beta version of WhatsApp, I do not have any rare application installed, everything works from the official WhatsApp version. Keep in mind that this only works for the audios that I receive on the phone on the right that this function is enabled and now I am going to comment on how you can do to get it. As WhatsApp usually activates this type of new functions to users by batches, the most recommended thing you can do is have the application updated on your phone so every now and then you can look at the Play Store or the App Store to have the application updated and now I tell you what else we can do. This official function is much better than any solution I saw that was sending voice messages to a certain number and it was even a bit insecure because we were sending private voice messages to an unknown number. This is the official function of WhatsApp that transcribes the audios and that even allows us to select the language in which the audio is so that it is transcribed correctly. As I told you, WhatsApp usually releases this type of function by stages to different groups of users and from what I was seeing for now to the day of the date that you can see in the description of the video, it is only enabled for iPhone phones that have the iOS 16 operating system up. The audio should last less than two minutes for the transcription to be automatic if we do not have to do it manually with a button and the Oye Siri function must be activated. Most likely it will also be activated for Android users in a very short time, so with having the updated application you will be able to access this function very soon. It is a shame that there is no trick that we can apply to be able to receive this new function, we simply have to wait.
