How to Zoom in Descript Fast With Smart Transitions (Full Transcript)

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: I'm going to show you how to do basic animations in Descript the easy way. All right, I'll show you a nice little hack. For example, let's say we want to push in on my face or zoom in on that microphone back there. See, the way you might think to do it is you select your clip. Then you go down here to animation. Then you either do a zoom or or a custom animation. Then you got to deal with key frames down here and like all. It's just a lot. That's a lot of work. I don't I don't I don't want to do all that stuff. So instead, what we're going to do is we're going to use smart transitions. All you do is make a new scene where you want to zoom in to happen. I want it to happen right here. So I'm going to go ahead and I'm just going to zoom in where I where I want my my nice little face to be perfect. Looks amazing. And then we're going to go to transitions over here and then we're going to go to in because we want to transition at the beginning. And then we're going to click on smart transition. And if you play it back, pushing on my face, look at that. It animates and we want to push in on my it animates it for you. That alone just saved me a couple of minutes of work. Next thing you know, I got a couple hours saved up and, you know, I can use all that extra time to, I don't know, invest. What do you do with free time? I don't know. That's besides the point.
