[00:00:00] Speaker 1: You can control your own camera, lighting, and recording space, but when a guest joins your recording, you don't always know what their setup is going to look like. They might join with a basic or old webcam, poor lighting, or a camera that just doesn't look as good as yours. And if it was a great conversation, you shouldn't have to let one person's camera quality ruin the final video or need to ask everyone to record the entire thing over again. With AI video enhancements in Riverside, you can improve the footage that needs help and make every participant look their best, whatever the recording setup is. And it only takes a few clicks. Let me show you how it works. When you're producing a remote video, every participant is bringing their own camera, lighting, and recording environment. One person might be using a professional camera with a carefully lit studio. Someone else might be joining from a laptop webcam in a darker room. Riverside captures a high-quality local recording from the setup each participant has, but it can't control the quality of the camera or lighting they bring to the conversation. That means some footage will naturally start in much better shape than others. This can create a noticeable difference between participants when you place everyone together in the final video. But if the conversation itself was great, that difference in quality shouldn't make the content unusable. AI video enhancements doesn't simply place a generic filter over the entire recording. Riverside's proprietary machine learning model analyzes and enhances the actual image in every frame. It determines the best enhancement for each individual video feed based on what's actually present in the footage. It can restore detail, correct imperfections, and sharpen the image to create a cleaner and more polished result. And because every participant's video feed is processed independently, they don't all receive the same one-size-fits-all treatment. AI video enhancement works with any 1080p web recording. To use AI video enhancements, open your recording in the Riverside editor. There are two places where you can access the feature. You can open up the AI tools panel and find enhanced video, or you can open the tracks panel and select the individual participant you want to enhance. This is important because video enhancement is applied per track rather than across the entire recording. So if your video looks great, but your guest's camera needs some help, you can select only your guest's track and leave your own footage untouched. Once you've selected the track, toggle on enhance video. Riverside will begin analyzing and processing that participant's footage. This may take some time because the model is enhancing the image throughout the recording frame by frame. So be patient. Once it finishes, the enhanced footage will be ready inside your edit. Now let's check out an example. Here's the original video from my guest's recording setup. The conversation was great, but the camera looks soft, the lighting isn't ideal, and the footage doesn't match my camera as well as it could. And here is that same track after turning on enhance video. We now have more definition in the image, improved lighting, and a cleaner overall result. And when we look back at the rest of the video, the difference between the two recording setups is less distracting. Video enhancement isn't replacing the camera or lighting that was used during the recording. Instead, it's working with the detail already present in the footage to help your guest look their best. This is especially useful when you're recording guests, clients, or team members remotely. You can send someone recommendations before the session, but you can't always expect every participant to own a professional camera, understand lighting, or have access to a controlled recording space. Sometimes a guest joins with a camera that doesn't look great, but the interview itself ends up being exactly what you hoped for. Video enhancement helps save the content, avoid an unnecessary reshoot, and create a more consistent final video. Arow Summary
The video explains how Riverside’s AI Video Enhancements improve lower-quality participant footage in remote recordings. Since guests may join with older webcams, poor lighting, or uncontrolled environments, the tool processes each 1080p web-recorded video track independently rather than applying a generic filter. In the Riverside editor, users can enable Enhance Video from the AI tools or a participant’s track settings. The model analyzes footage frame by frame to restore detail, improve lighting, correct imperfections, and sharpen images, creating a more consistent final video without requiring a reshoot. The feature is available on Riverside Business Plans.
