Install Whisper AI on Windows: Easy Step-by-Step Guide (Full Transcript)

Speaker 1: Hi everyone, in this video, I'm going to show you how to install Whisper AI in Windows. First of all, open your browser. Then go to python.org. Hit enter. Now once you're at the website, click on this download button here and click on all releases. Now once you're here, scroll down and look for 3.10.10 in this specific release window here. Like I have this here, python 3.10.10. After that, download it. Scroll down. Now install Python according to your operating system. I am using Windows, so I will use the Windows installer 64-bit. Just click on it. Save the application. Now after the setup has been installed, open up the setup. Now in here, tick this box here and click on install now. Now after Python has been installed, type in your Windows search bar CMD and hit enter. The command prompt will now open. Now once you're here, type in python-V and hit enter. Now here you will see Python's installed version. Now after that, open up your browser again and go to pytorch.org. Hit enter. Now once you're at the website, scroll down to the install pytorch portion. Now in here, you will have to choose your operating system. I'm already using Windows, so I will leave it at that. Now if you have a good graphics card, you can use the CUDA 11.8 option. And if you don't have one like me, you will choose the CPU option. Now after that, just copy this prompt right here. And go back to CMD and just paste this prompt here. After that, hit enter. And after pytorch has also been installed, minimize the command prompt, open up the browser, open a new tab, and this time type in your browser, chocolatey.org. After that, hit enter. Now once you're at the website, click on this install button up here. Now scroll down and choose how you want to install chocolatey. I will leave it at individual. After that, scroll down and just copy this command right here. Click on this copy button right here. Now minimize this tab and this time search in your search bar, Windows PowerShell. But you will have to run it as an administrator. So just click on run as administrator. Now after it has opened, just paste that prompt here and click on enter. Now as you can see, it has not installed my chocolatey app because I have already installed it. So now after yours have been installed, just type in here, choco install ffmpeg. With that, hit enter. I have already installed ffmpeg. So it is not installing mine, but it will ask you a question and you will have to type in capital Y after that, hit enter again and your ffmpeg will be installed. Now on to the final step. Just type in here cmd and run this as an administrator as well. Now type in here pip install –U OpenAI-Whisper and hit enter.
