Welcome if you are new here and welcome to today's video Which I am so so so excited about because I used to watch wow, I just made my hair crazy Okay. Anyway I used to watch these all the time in college And it just got me feeling like really ready for the semester and even if I like already started and was studying I just liked having somebody else who I felt like was going through school with me And now my favorite youtuber who I used to watch prep for the semester Hannah Elise is done with school and I was kind of sad about it and I was like, you know what? We're gonna film my own. So welcome to my first ever semester prep video So I just got back from vacation yesterday Today's Saturday and I start my semester on Monday. So kind of a lot to do this weekend I just wanted to start off this video here so that as I film the process this weekend we can include everything. Basically I need to set up my new planner. I have all my school supplies right here but I need to unbox it and organize it and also for law school this is included in Legally Blonde and it's true. There are assignments for the first day of class for every class so I also need to make sure I get those first day readings done. Like I said today's Saturday so I have today and tomorrow to like unbox, get organized, set up my planner, and then do readings for Monday and Tuesday. So it's going to be a busy couple of days. I think the first thing I want to do is unbox everything and get like notebooks labeled. You'll see me like labeling with all my classes and get it all put away and then I don't know what we'll do next but I will catch up with you guys there. Welcome to my channel. I vlogged a lot and did a lot of school-related content my first semester, so I will link my entire law school playlist below. And subscribe so that we can go through this semester and just school for years to come together. And yeah, welcome and let's get into it. Okay guys, so as you just saw, I unboxed all my books and put them away. I just have this little shelf I keep all my books on next to like a chair that I'll study at. Anyway, books are done. I did not do my planner yet and that is something I definitely want to get done. right now we are about to go sit at a starbucks and study for a while and then go to the gym because our gym is right next to starbucks so i just checked my schedule and my two first day classes are con law and property and i remember for con law we got an email that there's no reading for the first day there's just like a survey that we need to fill out so i might do that but honestly I'll probably save it for tonight, but property. I know there's a bunch of week one reading So I'm just gonna bring my property book I grabbed one of the notebooks and I label all my notebooks with the subject name and My name in case I lose it because obviously all my notes are in there and I need people to be able to get it back to me I handwrite my notes just because I Know that I will get distracted on my computer. So it's just better to Handwrite them and yeah, we're gonna go to Starbucks. We're gonna study for a little bit I will bring my phone and then I probably won't see you guys for a while cuz we're gonna go to the gym I don't have to take a shower and all of that But I want to get a good bit if not all of property for Monday done today and set up my planner today So we will do more tonight after I study for a while

Speaker 2: hi guys so it is a long time later and

Speaker 1: and I just wanted to update you. So it is 7.40 right now. We studied at Starbucks for a while, as you guys saw, and I'm pretty happy with how much stuff I got done there. The kind of tricky thing is that one of my classes on Monday, it looks like he just does his assignments weekly, so that assignment is kind of taking a long time, just because it's the reading for the whole week instead of just that one class period. But obviously, since it's weekly, We're not gonna get through everything the first day. So I'm happy with the progress that I made on that. And then my only other class on Monday just had a online survey to do and no reading. So we are looking in pretty good shape for Monday. And then I know my first assignment for Tuesday is very short. That's actually a class I had last semester too. It's a year long class. So I'm like familiar with the textbooks and material for that class and it's very short. So I'm feeling okay about where I'm at right now. I'm pretty tired, so I don't know that I'll get any more reading done tonight, just because law school reading is very intense, especially when it's a new course, too, and you really need to be actively reading. It's kinda hard to do when you're tired. But I do want to set up my planner tonight because I scheduled with some of my friends from school. We're gonna walk over to school at 9.30 tomorrow morning and just get some of that work done together in the morning and make sure we're all in a really good place for the first day of the semester. So tonight I just wanna get my planner set up so we can go over everything tomorrow in the morning. So I think I'm gonna go out to, if you guys watch my vlogmas, I'm literally gonna go sit in the same spot where I studied for all of my finals. Kind of have some bad memories there, but whatever. And I'm gonna go sit there. I'm gonna restart Pretty Little Liars for the semester because the girls that know know Spencer Hastings motivates me to study like nothing else. So when I'm doing anything other than reading, because obviously I need to focus when I'm reading, I will put on Pretty Little Liars in the background. So we're gonna go put Pretty Little Liars on and you guys will see me filling out my planner for the first couple weeks probably. I got a weekly planner this semester instead of a daily planner like I had last semester because the daily planner, it's called like the day designer, It had a to-do list for every single day, and I almost never got everything on the list done. I got what I needed to get done, done, but never everything on my list, and it always made me feel kind of bad at the end of the day that I didn't finish it, even if I had a super productive day. So I decided to just get a weekly planner, map out my classes, map out anything big that's happening that week, and then I will know day-to-day what I need to do, and I don't need to write it all down and make myself feel bad about it. If I need to really remember something, I can just make a note on my phone or something. So you guys will see that. I do put my class schedule in my planner for at least the first few weeks because I'm unfamiliar with it. And you guys get it. It's a planner. I'm gonna stop rambling. Let's cut to the montage of me doing my planner. And then I will see you guys in the morning heading to school to get more of those first day assignments done.

Speaker 1: Hi guys, so it is the next morning and I'm getting ready while I talk to you because I am running a little bit behind. Like I said, I'm meeting my friends at school today at 9.30 and we're going to stay for like a couple hours just to be able to be together um while we work on that property homework but i didn't set an alarm because i was like 9 30 like there's i'm not gonna sleep until 9 30 whatever but i woke up at nine so i school is just a couple blocks away but i do need to get going so i'm just putting on like a teeny teeny bit of makeup and then i'm going to head out. So I will probably take some clips for you guys at school. I'm a little bit stressed about this property assignment just because since he does do it weekly it's so long and even though obviously it's for the week so we don't need to get everything done for the first day, there's no way to know how much we'll get done the first day, you know? We had a class like this last semester and we were always worried going into class that we didn't do enough because there's no way to know what we're gonna do. So anyway, I'm gonna get ready really fast and I will see you guys studying at school and then I'll probably talk to you this afternoon whenever I'm home because today is my last day to get ready for the semester.

Speaker 1: My hair is wet because as you guys probably saw, we just went to Target and before that we went to the gym. I didn't really realize I was gonna go school supply shopping but then I was like, it's kind of fun and just a cute little way to end the video. I didn't get a lot of stuff just because it's a new semester, not a new year. So I feel like I did have most of the things I needed but I just got a couple of little fun things. So first of all, I got this little arch whiteboard which I just thought would be cute to prop up on my desk. I'll show you guys. You guys have probably never seen my desk from like this angle, but this is what I'm looking at. So I thought it would be cute just to like set it. Like, I don't even know, like right there or something. That would be good against the picture frame. Just like that, like a cute little, just place to write notes and stuff. Anything I need to remember, stuff like that. So I got the little whiteboard And then I got these cute little post-it notes. Literally no reason for that. I was just like, if there's something that's cute, that's school related, that is gonna make me happier to go to school, why not? And I like to put post-it notes on boards like that sometimes. So got little post-it notes. And then I got a couple of things. I actually have gone to Target twice. I also got this little notepad and I just really liked the way this was set up. Like I told you guys, don't like the feeling when you feel bad about not getting everything done on your to-do list so as you guys can tell this says must do and might do and remind me later and I just really like this format and since I got rid of my planner with a to-do list in every single day I thought these would be nice I can just stick it on there if there is ever a day where I just really need a to-do list and to remember things so these little notes are from the same Brand noted from Target and I just thought they were really cute so got some fun little notes and a cute little whiteboard to start off the new year with and Yeah, I feel like I'm like pretty much ready to go. This is like weird, but I feel sad ending this vlog Which probably doesn't make sense to any of you guys because it like literally doesn't even make sense to me but I just feel like doing my YouTube was such a big part of my first semester of law school and yeah I don't know like I wasn't even sure if I was gonna keep this channel in law school because really at the time I got it I got it because we were leading up to my wedding and I wanted to remember the wedding memories and I also just wanted like something fun to do by myself while I was on a break from school and then I decided to keep it through law school and ended up like so many people who are in law school or interested in law school or just in school in general found my channel and it like became very focused on school And a lot of you guys have asked me questions about law school I did so many vlogs a lot of like just so nice and supportive comments. That was bad grammar. Whatever. You know what I meant? Yeah, I don't know. I feel like my YouTube has been a huge part of Like my whole law school experience. I think feel bad ending this vlog because we're back but We're starting another vlog tomorrow morning. I'm gonna vlog my whole first day for you guys It's a good schedule for that because like I said, I don't start in the afternoon So I can vlog in the morning getting ready with you guys and everything.
