Learn How to Add Fade In and Fade Out Effects to Subtitles Using iGesub (Full Transcript)

So, let's begin. Let's open the Omegasoup subtitle editor and let's find some subtitles here. So, I'm just going to open this Small Town Hitman project and subtitles here and Small Town Hitman. So, let's open our video. Open video here and this and there. Working correctly. I've paid whatever it was. I just need more time. Okay, it's working. The subtitles are going on time here. So, the question was how do we do Fade In and Fade Out for these subtitles that are appearing down here. So, I searched for this problem. Let's open our browser. User manual here and the Fade In and Fade Out and some other like advanced effects you can find here also. Okay, but where to find the Fade In and Fade Out? It's here ASS Override Tags and if you scroll down here you can find some interesting things like italics, bold, underline, strike out, border size, shadow for your text, blur the edges, font size, font scale, letter spacing, text rotation you can also use and here are very clear examples how to use them. So, karaoke effect. I haven't tried this yet but it could be interesting. You can make the karaoke videos. Yeah, but let's go and find the Fade and here is the Fade and you can use this like this. So, let's try it out. I would like to create this fade effect to this line for example. Yeah, let's make this a little bit bigger from here. You can change this video size from here. Okay, let's see. Yes. And for this text I would like to have the Fade In and Fade Out. So, you use these effects like this. You need to put the effect text before your subtitle and you put it here and let's change these values. I want this to be like one second and this also to be one second. These are milliseconds so you can be very precise here. How long does it take to fade your text in and fade your text out. So, and the first number is Fade In and the last number is Fade Out. And let's test this. I think this is not going to work yet. And I just know that you need to put these different brackets here. So, now the color changed so it recognizes it as an effect.
