Speaker 1: So, you've just downloaded Captions. Congratulations. In this video, you'll learn how to navigate the app and get ready to start posting studio-grade content in seconds. When you open the app, you'll see the Project screen. This is where you'll see everything you're working on. To the bottom right, you'll find the Profile section. Here, you can control your personal settings such as notifications and camera settings. To get started, tap Create. This will give you a few options. You can import a video, or record a video using the Captions camera. There's also the option to use the built-in teleprompter with an imported script, or you can also generate one with AI. In this section, you'll also see an option titled AI Shorts. This feature automatically identifies viral-worthy clips from your long-form content. More on that in a separate video. For the purpose of this video, let's go with the most popular action here, Import. Tap the video you want to import. From here, you'll have the option to choose what language you want your captions to appear in, and also the option to translate the audio using AI dubbing. After importing your video, you'll be brought to the main editor. Here, you can see your video project, and a few essential buttons and sliders. As your video is playing, you will notice the video player head underneath the video, and you can tap and drag on this to scroll through your video. Below that, on the bottom left, you will see the Play Pause button, along with all of the powerful tools that you can scroll through. First, you have the Format section, where you can adjust the style, font, and color of your captions, as well as the aspect ratio of your video. If you scroll over in the main editor, you will see our AI editing features that can enhance the overall quality of your video. Here, you can automatically add zooms, intro titles, and images, as well as the option to correct eye contact and use AI Trim, which automatically removes pauses. Scrolling further, we have AI Text. Here, you can turn on auto-censoring, easily animate your captions with AI Spotlight, and automatically add emojis that match what is being spoken in your video. Here, you can also toggle your captions on and off. To the far right of the main editor, we have AI Audio. This section allows you to remove background noise with denoise, generate royalty-free AI music, and add text-to-voice voiceovers. Once you are ready to make some precise adjustments to your video, head over to Edit with Captions. This will minimize your video and open up the inner workings of your edit. The middle of the screen will show you your transcribed captions that are broken up into multiple segments for easy navigation. Use the yellow arrows to tap through the different segments. Underneath that, you will be able to adjust the timing of your segment, as well as edit the transcript. Below your transcript, you will notice an expanded timeline that reflects your video and transcript segment in real time. Here, you can edit individual words for typos and assign specific time-based effects to those words. This is a lot easier than working with a track editor. Each gray block on the timeline represents an individual word and how long that word appears in your captions. Our powerful AI is overall very consistent with accurately analyzing the words and timing from your video. But in the event that the timing of the word is off due to background noise or music, this is how you fix it. Simply tap on the word you want to adjust, scroll over to the right side of the bottom menu, and tap Timing. Here you can trim and adjust the duration of that word which, after hitting Apply, will be reflected in the text blocks along your timeline. While selecting individual words, you can edit typos, add matching imagery, and many other features for individual customization. Once you are finished with your final edits, you can swipe down, play back your video, and tap the Export button on the top right. We offer a lot of export settings including video resolution, frame rates, and an option for HDR. And congrats. You now know all the essentials for navigating the Captions app and are ready for creating studio-grade content with the power of AI. For any troubleshooting questions on how to use the app, you can tap on the question mark icon in the main editor to look through our blog for tips and tutorials. You can also send us direct messages and feature requests. Thank you for your support and welcome to Captions. Make sure to subscribe for future tutorials and happy editing.
