Speaker 1: Hello guys, in this video we are going to learn how to make text appear one by one for time control the text in canva. So let me quickly make a slide here and add some text quickly. First I'm going to show you how the animated text appears when you add all of your text in a single text element like this I'm doing. You have probably seen this before but I think seeing it once again won't hurt. So just give me a moment, I'll be done with it quickly. So as you can see it doesn't look that bad but it's not that attractive still. So how we can make it more attractive looking and more appealing. So how to make text appear one by one to make text appear one by one doing it is pretty easy. All you have to do is just separate individual text lines or sentences into a separate text element like this I'm doing. Each text is going in a separate text element. So you can see it's appearing separately now it's looking at least better than how it did before when all text was in the single element. It also gives you more control over when it appears as well. So it gives you control over the timing a little bit like it goes slowly and appears one by one. But if you want more control over the appearance like you want seconds at how many seconds is up here. What you can do is this time each text line will appear in a single slide. So what you're going to do is first slide will have your first text element you want to appear first I guess and I made it then duplicate that page. Now this time this previous text will still be there but just remove its animation and add your second line their line of text here and animate that second line. First one will have no animation OK. Like this duplicate it again until how many text lines you have or a page can keep up with. Right. Remember only one text line will have animation in single slide and that's when it will look better.
Speaker 2: Otherwise if you have multiple text lines animated in a single slide it will not look that good.
Speaker 3: All right. So keep on doing that like this.
Speaker 2: Doing it this way gives you more control over timing.
Speaker 1: You can set timers at how many seconds each text appears like that. So you can see this is how it will be when you do it like this with separate slides. And you can time control it like this as well reduce the slider time like this and it will reduce the time and it will appear faster like after two seconds or three seconds or as you can see this is for stationary images when the background is stationary so it doesn't look repeating or rough it looks smoother most of the time. When you have video in your background it can be repeating when you have same background but text is changing.
Speaker 2: I will quickly add a video.
Speaker 3: All right. Add some animated text here quickly. All right.
Speaker 1: Now let me reduce the time to four seconds for each slide and that's duplicated and change that sentence to a new one. This time I don't want the previous text to be still available. I want the previous text to be replaced with new text. So I'm just replacing that in a new slide like this.
Speaker 3: All right. I'll add last one here is looking good to me. All right.
Speaker 1: Now let's see how it looks as you can see each time the text is changing but the background is repeating so it's no way any fun to watch. So how you can get around that the background video will keep on going further and not repeat and only text change that you will if you have four seconds each slide then you will add four seconds first then add eight second to second and then reduce it to four second back so it will start with the ending of the first one and for third one you will add twelve and reduce it back to four seconds and so on like this. This will give you exact and accurate end point of the previous video or previous slide. So you can see it looks smoother and if it still has a little bit of roughness what you can do in that case although it's quite smoother I guess what you can do then is do let me make this animation. What you can do is add transition between the slides and don't choose any fancy one just get a simple dissolve with point three seconds of timer between each slide and apply between all pages. Now you can. Let's see how it goes. It looks good to me. All right. It looks quite good. And let me make a final slide here. So that's how you get around with different type of time controlling the text or transitions or even have them appear one by one in Canva. And that's how you do it with different kinds of backgrounds like having videos as static images. So I hope this video helped you. Don't forget to like share and comment.
