Speaker 1: Coding video in Deduce is very similar to coding other types of data. The only thing that changes is how you select your excerpt parameters. So first let's go over some of these icons here. On the lower left, this allows you to zoom in if you want more precision in terms of where you start and stop in your video file. The bar along the bottom will allow you to scroll all the way forward or adjust where you need to go in the video. The purple bar will be a live runtime, so if I hit play you'll see that it's going to clock exactly where we are in the video. You can also click and drag that purple bar if you want to hop to another area, but you can also just click into that area of the video. You'll see as we're clicking and moving throughout this video runtime below, these little blue bars are moving with us. These blue bars are our excerpt parameters, so you can adjust these according to where you want to create your excerpt. So let's say I wanted to create an excerpt with these five seconds or so, I can adjust those parameters, click the create excerpt icon in the lower right, then you'll see Deduce created an excerpt for us and we can double-click the code that we want to apply. You can also adjust these excerpt parameters afterward or even when the video is playing, so that's a great way to get precisely the excerpt length that you want. To continue coding, just select anywhere else in the video or click play to keep it running. And from here, you can start coding and there are some cool shortcuts as well. For instance, if I hit ctrl Q, a shortcut to create an excerpt instead of hitting that create excerpt icon. So I'll code this with Diver, and again you can adjust those parameters as needed. So if you wanted to shorten it while it's playing, you can do so to get an accurate excerpt length. You'll see as you're coding and you move on, anything you've previously coded will become a green bar. If you hover over that bar, you're going to see who created the excerpt and also what codes are attached. If you want to edit that excerpt, you can click into that green bar, attach codes, remove codes, and even delete the whole excerpt if you need to.
