Speaker 1: Yo, what is going on, guys? Hello and welcome back to the Residual Royalty Academy. In this video, I'm going to show you my Findaway Voices Royalties for the last, I think it's six months. So, I only started this account, like I say, about six months ago, just to post some audiobooks without using Audible, basically. That's what it's for, right? So, if you've got any books where you don't want to put them on Audible, you feel like there's a reason you should put it somewhere else, you want it to go wide, you want it to go on a bunch of different platforms, such as all of these ones, aside from just Amazon and Audible, then Findaway Voices is the best way to do it. I found it a lot easier to use than Authors Republic, and the royalties from some platforms can be really, really high, okay? So, I'll give you one example of one of my books. I think it sells on Apple or iTunes, as you can see from here, right? Apple, it sells for about $15, but Apple pays you 50%, or I think it's 45%. So, the royalty you're getting every time is crazy. It's like $6 or $7 every single time. One of the best things about Findaway Voices, and one of the advantages it has over ACX and Audible, is that you can choose the price of your book, right? You can recommend the price of your book to every single platform. So, whereas Audible might choose your book to be listed at like $7.99, you can just double it. You can put it at $15, in effect, doubling your royalties. So, this is how it works, right? So, if that book is $15, the retailer is going to keep $7 or $8. $7 or $8 goes over to me, and then Findaway takes 20% of what I would have got. So, you do lose a little bit, but overall, it can work pretty well. Now, I'm not going to be able to show you the detailed sales reports, but what I can show you is this. So, I don't think there's even anything that I'd need to blur out on here. You can see the first month on Findaway Voices, or the first month of sales, you can see I got $41. And the beauty of all of these royalties is there's no ads, okay? There's no Amazon ads. There's no more costs. Once you've made the audiobook, it's just done. So, everything from there is pure profit. So, the first month, it made $41. Second month, $132. So, we almost like tripled that, or more than tripled it. And the month number three, September, $230. Month number four, $280. And the last payment we got was $314. And they just send this straight to your bank account or business bank account, whatever you have, whatever you've chosen. I think they even can do PayPal and things like that. So, this is mostly only from one book. Like, I can't exactly go on to the royalty reports, because if I show you it, it's going to sort of give away what the book is, really. So, it's best if I just show you this, and I can also update this for you next month, around the 23rd, 24th, or, you know, whenever they give me the next payment in December. So, this is just sort of a message to say, don't just rely on one platform for all your royalties. You do want to diversify it a little bit, because let's say you're making $5k a month on KDP. You're making $2k a month on Audible. So, that's $7k. But if you were to get banned, or maybe you had a copyright issue with one of your books, and you lose both of those accounts, you're going from $7k to $0k. So, that's really not what you want to do. You want to make sure you're diversified. So, you want to have $5k from KDP. You want to have $2k from Audible. You want to have $1k or $2k from Ingram. You want to have $1k or $2k from Findaway Voices. You want to have some from Authors Republic as well. You want to be, in my opinion, you want to be a little bit diversified, in the case that if one of your accounts gets closed down, then you've still got others to rely on and to fall back on. So, this is sort of my approach lately. And there is a lot of opportunity, and there's a lot of sort of reasons why you might post something on Findaway Voices. So, for example, ACX is very strict on copyright requirements. So, if there's any book that you're a bit like, let's say, unsure about, and you're unsure of the copyright, you're unsure if you should really post it on ACX, because you don't want to lose your account, then definitely it's something you could post on Findaway, because the copyright regime is a bit less strict. They don't really ask for certificates. So, you can just sort of post on here. And as you can see, everything is profit once you post the book. And they pay you on time. They make it really clear where your royalties come from. They tell you the site it sells on. They tell you when it's sold. They tell you how much percentage you're getting. And they tell you everything in your royalty reports. So, this is not a promo video. This is just me saying, make sure once you've got your royalties up on KDP, and once your royalties are up on ACX, etc., you just want to start diversifying a little bit across different platforms. IngramSpark, Findaway Voices, Authors Republic, being the three main other ones that I would post on to get some extra royalties, and also just to get some royalties that don't rely on Amazon ads. And these are just going to pay you every single month. So, yeah, like I say, I'm going to update you next month when I get my next set of royalties from Findaway Voices. But as you can see, the trend is looking good so far. So, the more books I post on here, this number, in theory, should just keep going up. So, we had 41, 132, 230, 280, and 314.
