Speaker 1: Hi, welcome to Bond Immigration Channel. After immigration petition I-130 is approved, many cases are stuck in the status of at NVC. Today, I will slice and dice into the second step of the 12-step long immigration process, the begin NVC processing step, and tell you when your case can be moved to the next step, the pay-fee step, so watch to the end. After USCIS approves your petition, they will transfer your case to the Department of State National Visa Center, NVC for pre-processing. The first step in this processing is the creation of your case in CEAC system. Once this is complete, you will receive a welcome letter by email with the information in this letter. You can log in to Consular Electronic Application Center, CEAC system, to check your status, receive messages, and manage your case. With that, your case is officially at NVC. As much as you are happy with your case moving to at NVC, you will soon find it seems to get stuck here for a while. The immigrant visa fee is in Not Paid status in CEAC system and keeps grayed out. You are not allowed to move forward to pay fees in this status. This is merely because United States law limits the number of immigrant visa numbers available each year in certain visa categories. This means that even if USCIS approves an immigrant visa petition for you, you may not get an immigrant visa number immediately. In addition, U.S. law also limits the number of visa available in certain categories by country. For limited categories, the availability of immigrant visa numbers depends on the date your petition was filed and the number of others waiting for the same visa categories. The date your petition was filed is called your priority date. Priority dates are posted monthly on the Visa Bulletin, which provides up-to-date priority dates for cases NVC is processing. The next is a million-dollar question. When will NVC contact me to pay the fees? Well, it depends. If your petition priority date is current for filing, NVC will contact you soon. You can also ask NVC. If your petition priority date is not current for filing, you may have to continue to wait until NVC contacts you. How do I know whether my petition priority date is current for filing? You can check Department of State Visa Bulletin, Chart B, to find a date for filing immigrant visa. If your priority date is earlier than the date for filing, that means your petition is current for filing and the National Visa Center will contact you soon. I will provide the link to Visa Bulletin in the description below. This is the end of our video today. Please like, leave your comments, and subscribe our channel to receive our next video. Thank you for watching.
