Rainbow Wool Turns Gay Rams’ Fleece Into Pride Fashion (Full Transcript)

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: These outfits were all made using wool from gay sheep, the world's first flock of them, actually. German farmer Michael Stöcke is raising 21 gay rams.

[00:00:14] Speaker 2: So Stöcke stepped in, rescuing rams from across Germany and creating a sanctuary called Rainbow Wool.

[00:00:37] Speaker 1: Their fleece is turned into LGBTQ-themed merch, caps, patches, even shoelaces. Studies have found about 8% of rams are gay, and up to 22% are bisexual. The merch sold out quickly, but they're whipping up a new line of stuff. And recently, Rainbow Wool teamed up with LGBTQ dating app Grindr and designer Michael Schmidt to create a 37-piece fashion collection called I Wool Survive.

[00:01:23] Speaker 3: And when you learn that it actually does exist in every strata of the animal kingdom, you begin to realize that homosexuality is not, in fact, a choice. It's really been inspirational to a lot of people, and that's very exciting to see.
