Create your plan first. Who do you want to bring into the room to really do that high level strategic thinking, thinking about how the thing you're working on affects other processes. And make sure you do that work at the beginning. So before you set out in kind of mapping out what you're going to do, the things that are clearly under your roles and responsibilities, that you have input from other people who are thinking about maybe other areas of the firm that aren't front of mind for you.
