Speaker 1: Is there anything better than getting something for free? I don't think so. And at rss.com, we give you your podcast and first episode for free. That's zero dinero, zero dollars and zero cents. And we're gonna show you how to set it up right now. Cue the intro. We wanna give our new users an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the tools and the website before putting a single cent towards hosting on the platform. And because of that, we allow users to set up their podcast, upload their first episode for free before setting up billing information, before adding any additional episodes. Now, if you do choose to continue with rss.com, you will have to set up a subscription to upload additional episodes and also have access to some of our additional tools like YouTube video conversion features and transcripts. But the basic setup for your podcast and the first episode is available for free for everyone. And we're gonna show you how to do it right now. When you sign up for your account on rss.com, you will arrive at this page that gives you the option to start a new podcast. Before you upload your audio, you're gonna wanna fill out some of the basic information about your podcast, like the title, the show notes, upload some cover art and also create a slug for the end of your address. A slug is basically some individual title that is included in your URL feed for your podcast. So it's usually something relating to the name of the show. And let's fill her out here. Tenacious Cast, because Jack Black is cool. And from here, we can fill out the feed address as Tenacious Cast. We're picking our language, English. At this point, you can drag and drop or click to upload cover art. I already got some cover art prepared here. And as we scroll down, you wanna make sure if you do have explicit language on your podcast that you click this box to make sure that that is marked. On some podcast directories, if you have explicit content and you don't mark it as explicit, they will remove that episode or your podcast if there are enough complaints about that episode or podcast. From here, we're gonna click next and we're gonna give author details. We're gonna go with my name and copyright notice. After that, you get to choose your categories. Now, there are a lot of different categories you can choose from for your show. Pick the one that makes the most sense, but don't pick the primary category like fiction because that will automatically get added if you select a subcategory. So if you go into for Jack Black for Tenacious Cast, I think we're gonna look at music and let's do music history because there's nothing more historic than Tenacious D. And that will automatically add music into your category for podcast directories like Apple Podcasts. We're also gonna select a secondary category as well. And we're gonna go with personal journals. And that's it, let's go. Now, from here, your podcast is set up. You don't have any episodes, but your podcast is up and available with a public website. To add your first episode, all you do is click new episode and add. From there, you pick season episode number if you like season one, episode one, and click this as including explicit content. You can add some keywords if you like right here. So if you want people to be able to better find your podcast on podcast directories, you can write Jack Black. Okay. Add a few little keywords here. Okay, and then we are ready to go. You can upload an individual episode cover for this episode. So it will show up for just this episode. We have cover art for the entire podcast. If you don't wanna upload a piece of episode art for this specific episode, it will just show the primary art for the podcast, which is what we're gonna do here. And then time to upload the audio. Once that's uploaded, you can double check it. Squee ba ba dee ba ba dee dee. Welcome to Tenacious Cast. And then save this as draft. Now your podcast is ready to go. You've got your podcast public page. You've got your cover art. You have your first episode uploaded and you're ready to roll. This is all free by this point. So all you have to do now to be public, to have your podcast available to the world is to click publish. That's it. Now, some of the other features like YouTube and transcripts are gonna be available for paid subscription. So if you wanna upload more than one episode, if you wanna continue this journey through Tenacious D or whatever your subject matter may be, then set up a subscription and you will be able to have so much fun exploring the world of podcasting. So we're gonna go ahead and publish this one. And we have uploaded our first episode of Tenacious Cast and we love it. From here, you can leave a review. You will be prompted right here that if you wanna get started with one of our plans or one of our subscriptions, there's a button that's gonna show up right there, make it really easy to set up billing and get going. If you have more than one episode to upload or plan to in the near future. And that's it. Make sure to check out rss.com to find more information about rss.com and some of the features that we have available. If you have any other questions, please reach out via our support tab at rss.com, scroll to the bottom, click support and fill out a ticket. We're happy to answer any questions that you have. And until then, keep podcasting. Thank you.
