And this summary, I'm going to give it whilst I'm answering the entrance exam. I hope you are understanding me. So whilst I'm answering these entrance exam questions, I'll be trying to explain the reasons why I'm choosing certain answers over other answers that way you will be able to understand what you are supposed to do and what you are supposed to do is what you are asking to do by the style guide this anyway this exam you need to listen carefully to what i'm going to say and you need to listen to these instructions or you need to read the instructions very carefully i'm going to read the instructions for you and i'm going to explain everything bit by bit so that you will know what you are required of doing and also you don't need to skip any part of this video because if you skip any part you're going to fail and you blame me so i have to redo this test because some were passing some were failing so i'm going to do this whilst i'm doing this voiceover recording so that you won't make any mistakes so i'm going to read what you are required to do before we start the test so this is the simple sentences that is what we are going to start with so please be sure to reference our latest edition of the style guide updated 8 july 2020 during your exam attempt you can find this document linked in the check exam info page okay so that was the previous page now that is where you can find the document which they are talking about and they are saying if you don't know the answer you can still go back to that pdf check what you are required to do look for the correct answer do the right thing okay let's go to rule number two you must complete three multiple choice questions in this section pertaining to transcribe misclean verbatim style You must get each question correct to pass the section. If you do not pass the section, you'll be directed to the exam results page where you have access to one retry. Note that the question will appear in random order each time you take this section and you may not get the same questions in subsequent retries or attempts. So if you fail these questions, you are going to have a retry and you are only given one chance for retry. So if you fail, you are given another chance. Only two chances are given when you are taking this exam. OK, let's go to the last part. Part of this exam is being able to follow directions. Formatting your answer incorrectly may result in a failed attempt. for these multiple choice questions write your answers as a b or c in capital letter no spacing no punctuation after for example b so you just need to put your answer in capital letter don't put a comma a full stop if you put that your answer will be wrong so guys already i've answered this one let's go to number one um i kind of wanted to go to the park today do you want to come along which of the following is the correct way to transcribe this according to our clean vapor team style guide okay i think a uh i kinda wanted to go to the park today do you wanna come along kinder and one is not correct because you need to expand this way like one is like one two kinder is kind of so that is wrong a b i wanted to go uh to the park today do you want to come along okay number two they removed kinder of which you don't have to remove but you need to change it to kind of so definitely our answer is c make sure it's capital letter c right um let's move on to the next one which is number two filler words informal speech okay so number two it's all about filler words and informal speech let's save our question a speaker says excuse me are you uh gonna eat that okay so it's a filler word we remove filler words we don't put them then uh it's also a filler word we remove it then gonna is informal speech we need to change that now let's move on to our answers um a excuse me are you going to eat that i think a is okay because we remove and we are left with excuse me are you we remove are going to eat that that is correct b is there r is there so it's wrong then c excuse me it's okay gonna are you gonna eat that are you going to eat that excuse me are you going to eat that so a i think is correct let's move on to to number three um well it's now crunch words informal speech again well i was waiting for you i thought you like uh changed your mind but okay which of the following is the correct way to think our answer here is c so we need to put capital letter c that's our answer let's go to number two spelling informal speech okay there is a way you you you write spellings when you are if they transcribe me wake up so uh now we are going to learn how we are going to write the spellings okay um which of the following is an approved spelling in transcribe me type a b c or d in the box below all right um a all right that is wrong we write o and right so that one is wrong b email so we don't write email like that it's email email that is the correct spelling like email one word then c gocha gocha is correct and d gonna is wrong because we write going to not gonna but gocha we write it as it is so i think the answer is c okay let's move on guys don't skip any part of this video the box below right this one is tricky um it's a guest tag you don't know the word which was said in the audio you are just guessing that the word is this but i'm not sure so how do you uh format or this in the same box in the same box government and archives in the same box so a is wrong b the apple fell from the tree and landed on his foot that is wrong because you must put a question mark in out a word or phrase due to a difficult accent poor audio or an unsuccessful internet search this kind of tag is called inaudible i don't know this This word is very difficult for me to pronounce. I'll put this one inaudible. You can't hear. You can't even try to guess what is there. So we can say the speech is inaudible. Okay, I think that's the correct spelling. Let's move on to the next one, number five. which transcribe me tag should you use to stand for a word or phrase you could not understand because another main speaker was talking over them please type the tag in the box below okay so this is what we call crosstalk crosstalk this one is talking and this one is talking so this kind of tag is called crosstalk, crosstalk, right, we put this one, you need to make sure your spellings are correct because any spelling error, you fail, all right, let's go to number six, in transcribe me, clean vapor team, you should edit the transcript to ensure the file is grammatically correct even if the speaker did not say it that way no you don't need to to grammatically correct the speaker I always tell people this you need to type what you hear not what you think is right it's not a grammar school you are just helping people to type what they talk or to type what they said so the answer is false they said we must put capital letter like that let's move on to number seven um is the below statement true or false in clean verbatim the words wanna and gonna should be transcribed as want to and going to i think that is true that is true guys and you know it you know that is true okay let's go to number eight is the below statement true or false you should always transcribe brand names with the capitalization of the first letter to keep your file consistent even if your research shows that the name is officially formatted a different way no that is false names you need to write them how they are supposed to be written you need to research about the names and write them properly so it's not about consistent or anything it's about what the research shows so this one number eight it is false they are lying it's false all right let's go to the next one guys you need to take note of this because this is all the ideas you need or this this the all in the information you need when you are transcribing with transcribing it's a summary because you can't read the whole document if you can you can but if you can't this is like a summary of what you're supposed to do so that you won't make any mistakes let's go to number nine um in transcribe me clean verbatim if a speaker says you are we expand the contraction to you are no contractions we write them as they are we write them as they are if the speaker say you are it's you are if it's you are it's you are if it is expanded you expand you write it as expanded so this one is false you don't change anything right as it is let's move on to number 10 so tips and reminders uh is the below statement true or false it is fine to copy text from word or from website and paste it directly into the work hub that is not okay this is false you can't do that if you do that automatically you fail their system will detect it will detect it even if we use certain softwares to transcribe you need to copy everything that you you you are getting from your software you don't need to paste if you paste you fail you will be blocked i don't know how they'll block you but you'll be blocked anyway let's check if we passed if i pass we are going to do audio one
