[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Today, we'll learn how to use ChachiBT dots. With dots, you can give ChachiBT something to work on, and it'll keep making progress even when you're not using ChachiBT. To show you how they work, I'll set up a dot to help grow my YouTube channel. And let's be honest, my channel could definitely use some help. Seriously? An AI banner? I'll show you how to set one up, connect it to your apps, and we'll see what it can do. And as a quick disclosure, OpenAI is sponsoring this video, but as always, I'll show you how they work and the results that I get. I'm Kevin, and let's dive in. To get started, head to ChachiBT. You'll find a link right here at the bottom of the screen. In the upper left-hand corner, just below new chat, click on dots. Keep in mind that dots is currently available on select ChachiBT plans. So if you don't see this as an option, it may not be available on your account yet. This is where you can create a new dot and manage the ones you've already set up. Let's create a new one down at the bottom. I'll click on continue. Now, we need to choose where our dot will work. By default, each dot gets its own computer in the cloud. That means it can continue working even when my computer is turned off. You can also give it access to your local computer, which lets it work with files and other information on your PC. For this video, I'll stick with the cloud computer, and right down below, I'll click on continue. And here's my new dot. Now, notice that it's already suggesting something it could help me with based on what it knows about me from previous conversations. But for this video, I have something specific in mind. So let's start by customizing your dot. I'll click right here. Here, I can give my dot a name, and I can also customize how it looks. For the name, let's go with YouTube Coach. And over on the left-hand side, let's check out some of the pets. Ooh, I like this one with a little sprout on its head. I think that really represents growth. I'll select that, and let's save it. And there we go. Hopefully, that little sprout will help my channel grow. Now, you might be wondering, and I was definitely wondering, too, how this is different from a regular Chachabitty conversation or even a scheduled task. With a regular chat, I can ask Chachabitty to analyze my channel and recommend videos. And with a scheduled task, I can have it check my channel's performance, let's say, every week. But with a dot, on the other hand, I can give it the bigger goal of growing my channel, and it'll figure out what to work on next as new information comes in without me having to prompt it every step of the way. To have my dot make useful recommendations, it'll need access to my channel's data. So let's connect an app that can provide that information. Over on the left-hand side, let's click into plugins. Here, you'll find connections for email, calendars, cloud storage, productivity tools, and lots more. Depending on the plugin, your dot can access information from these apps and even take action on your behalf. Up at the very top, let's search for vidIQ. This provides YouTube analytics and gives my dot the information it needs to identify opportunities to grow my channel. Right here, I'll click on this plus icon. And right down below, I'll authorize access to vidIQ. And right up above, I can see that it installed the plugin. Now, my dot can use this information to analyze my videos, see what my audience is interested in, and also recommend what videos I should make next. Now, let's go back to our new dot and give it something to work on. I'll hover over the home icon, and there's the dot. I'll click there. I'm going to keep my instructions pretty simple. ChatGBT already has some context about my YouTube channel from our previous conversations, and I've connected vidIQ to provide additional data. Right down here, I'll paste in my prompt. Feel free to pause if you'd like to read the full instructions. I'll give it a goal of increasing my average daily views by 20% over the next 90 days and let it figure out what to do next. I'll also ask it to track progress and give me updates every Monday and Thursday. Now, to make sure my dot uses vidIQ, I'll mention the plugin directly in my prompt. I'll type at and then select vidIQ from the list. And that's it. I'm not telling it exactly what to do or how to do it. Let's submit. Right up on top, we can see that it's off to work. After a little bit of time, here's what my YouTube coach came up with. First, it established a baseline of about 403,000 views per day. To reach my goal of 20% growth, I'll need to get that up to roughly 484,000 daily views. It also found something interesting. About half of my engaged views come from YouTube search, but that traffic has actually declined by about 9% recently. So it's recommending that I focus on search-driven tutorials and look for ways to improve the performance of my existing videos. It's also identified several new video opportunities, including here we have Windows 11, Notebook LM, and Google Flow. Now, notice that it's already put together a 90-day plan. And over on the left-hand side, if I hover over schedule tasks, I can see updates scheduled for every Monday and Thursday, along with a final check-in after 90 days. All this came from the short prompt that we entered in. Now, I want to share these recommendations with my team, so together we can decide what videos to make next. For this, I'll use spaces and pages in Chatubty. On the left-hand side, hover over the space icon, and right down here, I can create a new space for my YouTube growth plan. I'll click here, and let's call that YouTube growth plan. And down below, I could also invite people. I'll invite Elizabeth, who helps manage my business, and there's her account. And in the bottom right-hand corner, I'll click on create. Think of a space as a shared workspace where you and your team can organize projects and collaborate with AI. In the top right-hand corner, I'll click on the new icon, and right here, I'll create a new page to track all the different video recommendations. Pages are documents that you can create, edit, and keep updated within a space. And right here, I could mention my dot. I'll type in the at character, and there I see the YouTube coach. And I can now ask it to add its research and recommended video ideas to this page. Over here, I'll send that to my dot. And there we go. My dot added the three video ideas to our page. Now, Elizabeth can review the recommendations and make changes. Oh, right here, it looks like Elizabeth has already left a comment, and if I click on it, it says, this video is already in production. Can we replace this video with another opportunity? Hmm, that sounds good. So, let's see if I could ask my dot to take this into account and update its recommendations. Over here, I'll add mention the YouTube coach, and let's see if it can review Elizabeth's feedback and update the video recommendations accordingly. Then, I'll send that off. Here, it looks like the YouTube coach responded, and it replaced the Windows 11 video with an Excel video. Those tend to perform well on the channel, and it looks like we now have an updated plan. Now, these recommendations give me a good starting point, but I want to make one adjustment. And instead of typing in my feedback, I'm going to give my dot a phone call. Back in my dot, in the top right-hand corner, click on this icon to start a call with your dot. Hey there. Hi. Hey. I had some quick feedback for you. For the videos that you recommend, one thing that I think is really important is I want video topics that will have ongoing longevity and demand for months and even years from now, and not just videos that are popular for only a few days. Ideally, I want you to prioritize evergreen search-focused tutorials, but at the same time, I also want you to keep an eye out for major new releases that could potentially be evergreen videos in the future.
[00:07:35] Speaker 2: Okay. Got it. Let me think about that. Absolutely. I've already incorporated that into your Monday and Thursday recommendation process. Lasting search demand comes first. I'll keep monitoring major releases for those practical tutorials people will still need long after the launch buzz fades.
[00:07:52] Speaker 1: Excellent. Thank you so much. My pleasure. Now, it's the next day, and my dot has already checked in with a new update without me having to ask. Let's see what it found. The latest YouTube analytics haven't come in yet, so it's too early to measure progress toward my goal. Fair enough. But here's something interesting. I published a video on UiPath this morning, and my dot has already checked how it's performing. After about seven and a half hours, it had 5,100 views, or roughly 6% more than a similar video at the same point. It's also recommending that I update my Power Automate tutorial, which I made a few years back. I could definitely use a refresh. And notice that it's taking my earlier feedback from the call into account by prioritizing evergreen topics. And all of this happened while my computer was off, since my dot has its own computer in the cloud. And that's how to get started with Chatchubty Dots. Thanks for watching. Let me know what you think down below in the comments, and I'll see you in the next one.
