Video Shows Border Patrol Official Using Gas in Minneapolis (Full Transcript)

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Video captured top U.S. Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino deploying a gas canister to disperse a crowd in Minneapolis. Earlier, protesters confronted Bovino and federal agents at a gas station near Muller Park. As the agents and the crowd moved down the street, altercations began. Moments later, convoy vehicles carrying agents can be seen coming to a stop, and people can be seen being detained. Bovino, the Border Patrol commander-at-large, then warns protesters that gas is coming before throwing a canister. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement that the agents were in the neighborhood for a targeted enforcement operation and had to use crowd control after they were, quote, repeatedly harassed and blocked by hostile crowds while simply trying to take bathroom breaks.
