As you can see this month I've not been able to cash out anything and it's not only this month but for a while now I haven't been able. So why I'm telling you guys that you should not apply for CastingWords as a beginner transcription is because I've had my account for a while now but even I cannot access jobs. So when you click on available jobs here, and then click on all jobs, you can see that there are a number of jobs here. Okay. Like from this page, you can see that there are 172 entries in total. This is just the first 20 that you can see. So when you click on a random job, just to see if you can be able to do it, let's say we just click on one here. You get to get this message saying that your transcriber rank isn't high enough for this job. So I am confused as to how I'm going to raise this rank if I'm not even able to do the job. Okay. So it is so weird as to how they rank people. I cannot tell you. I don't know. I've had the account for a while now, but I haven't been active on the platform. Okay. So here I cannot do this job. I cannot even submit it. All right. So only transcribers who have a higher enough rank can be able to do this job. Okay. When we go back, for example, you can see when you click on the leaderboard, you can see that there are people who have done just, this is in the last week alone, the people who have done 82 jobs, 58, you know, the last person here on this leaderboard has done 29 jobs. that there are people who can get to access the jobs, but not everyone can get to access the jobs. You have to have a certain rank for you to be able to access these jobs. So if you're new, I don't know how you'll manage to do these jobs when your transcriber rank obviously will be down. So that is why I cannot advise you as a new transcriptionist to invest time in applying to this platform because I am not sure if you'll be able to get jobs. Okay. Jobs are there, but you have to have a certain rank. I personally, I don't know why I'm not able to do any of these jobs. And I haven't been working on this platform for a while. So it's not like I have a low rating as far as I'm concerned, but I cannot access jobs. And you can even try others. You know, I just clicked on one and you can see maybe that is just one. So maybe let's do a lower paying one to see if maybe it will open. So for a almost four minute file, they'll pay you $0.08 per minute. So your average pay for a four minute file, they want to pay you around $0.32. So I think that is low enough. So let's try and see if I can be able to do that job once again. Okay. So this is on the editor side and I'm told my editor rank isn't high enough for this job. So, it's obvious because if my transcriber rank is low, obviously I cannot edit jobs. So this is a mixture of transcription and editing jobs. Okay. Okay. Let's, let's click on another page. I'm looking for very low paying jobs. I want to just try on a transcription job. I want to see. Okay. This one, I think it's transcription. Can you see my transcriber rank isn't high enough. So I cannot be able to work on any jobs here. If I click on another page, page five, and I click again on transcribe anything that's written because this one, the paper minute is 0.14. So that's low enough also. Okay, so let's click on that one. You see, my transcriber rank isn't high enough. So guys, I would advise you do not waste time on this platform. I don't think you'll be able to access jobs anytime soon. But if you want to give it a try, please do and tell us how it went. So guys, I also wanted to blast you so that I can get you some reviews on casting words. So we'll just go through a few. You can see here that the first one just to read a part of the review, it says that the beginner level did not always have a lot of work. But that might be because there are a lot of people competing for that level. You can see here someone else is saying there's low pay, little work and crazy grading. else also says that the entry level pay is too low. Another one says that they are very biased against new transcribers. And also here you can see someone has said that you can't get any work for beginners. And guys, this was in 2020, there are no new reviews. So if in 2020, there was no work for beginners, you can only imagine how about in 2023. So to read another one, it says the pay is very low at the early tiers you won't make a living on this job alone okay at least not at the start then there's no guarantee of work so there's sometimes dry spells and quotes especially in the summer the last review i'll read here is this one that says there's low pay especially at beginning and a glut of new workers can mean little to no work available for long stretches of time and this review was in 2018 so you can only imagine if in 2018 again there was no work for new people just imagine in 2023 so you can give it a try and decide for yourself if this is the great place that you want to work.
