[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Why has K-pop Demon Hunters missed out in the BAFTA nominations? The Netflix smash was the biggest viral film hit of last year and scooped up a number of Oscar nods. But it's not eligible at the BAFTAs because in the UK it was released on streaming first, even though a sing-along version was released in cinemas later. One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, got the most BAFTA nominations with 14. And its breakout star, 25-year-old Chase Infinity, also got a nod despite missing out in the Oscar nominations. Another actor who was snubbed in the Oscar nominations, Paul Meskel, managed to bag a BAFTA nomination for his role in Hamnet. And Wicked's sequel, Wicked for Good, picked up two nominations, although its lead stars, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, both missed out. The BAFTA Film Awards themselves will take place on the 22nd of February.
