Zoom’s AI Agents Aim to Turn Calls Into Completed Work (Full Transcript)
[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, so you look at Zoom over the past 15 years, by and large, we focus on the composition, we build all kinds of collaboration, communication tools. But if you take a step back, you know, look at, you know, how our customers are using our product. Normally, to complete a task, you probably need a two-step, right? The step one, you and I have a human-to-human conversation, like a Zoom call or in-person conversation. Afterwards, you go back to your computer system, right? Log into the CRM, I get a lot of work done, right? It's kind of a two-step process. How to leverage AI to consolidate those two processes into one step? So that's what we're working on. Essentially, after the Zoom call is over, we leverage a Zoom mate or Zoom AI agent to get work done for you automatically.
- Zoom sees a typical workflow as two separate steps: a conversation followed by manual work in business systems.
- The company wants AI to consolidate those steps into a single, more automated process.
- Zoom AI agents or Zoom Mates would act after calls to complete follow-up work automatically.
- The strategy moves Zoom beyond communications toward workflow and productivity automation.
