Speaker 1: Hi all, welcome to my channel, welcome to my world, this is the World of Wayne. You can tell Summer's come to the World of Wayne channel, can't you? I've got my flurry Hawaiian shirt on today, although it could be a lot more worse, but Mrs World of Wayne won't let me wear that. Today I'm doing something completely out of left field, because this isn't model related whatsoever. This is actually to do with if you're making YouTube content, and you're putting your videos onto the YouTube platform, I'm going to teach you how to actually add subtitles in different language, completely free of charge, the easiest way that you're ever going to realise, and I'm going to show you that now. So I'm aware this isn't just going to be model builders watching this, this is going to bring a whole heap of peeps into the channel from the YouTube community, so welcome to the World of Wayne. If you haven't subscribed already, please please click that subscribe button, and click on the bell, and you'll get notified when the next video is around. So how do you add subtitles to your feed, not just in your language, but in other languages as well? Let me show you. So this is my desktop here, and I know you're probably all looking at my tabs at the top to see what sort of tabs I have on my internet browser, but I'm going to go into the video that we created yesterday, which is the Mitsubishi A6M Zero Fighter. At the moment, as you can see, there's no closed caption subtitles on this at all. So I click on the video, I'm going to pause it, because I don't want it to play, and I'm going to click on edit, and when we're in the edit screen, just wait for this to come up, I'm going to click on subtitles, and after about two hours of processing your video, you're going to get two lots of subtitles on the screen, one which is what your language is, and one which has been auto-generated to what your language is, which is this one here. It's this one here that I'm interested in, and all you're going to do is click on the three dots at the end, click download, and download it as an SRT file. Simple, huh? Once you've done that, you can actually delete that subtitle category, and that's gone. All we're going to do then is we're going to take the language that you're actually recording your video in, and click add. Then we're going to be uploading file with timing, and then we're just going to add the file that we just created, which is here. And as you can see, it's put all of this into the YouTube video in my language. Now I just want to change some of these things. It can never get World of Wayne right, so I have to change that manually to World of Wayne, and you can scroll down this and just check, you can add capitalization to words, just check all your subtitles are correct. Now I'm not going to do that on this video, but what I am going to do is pretend, yep, that's all done. We should be good with that, and all you're going to do is click publish. And when you publish it, as you can see, we have now got English subtitles published, all good, we've got English subtitles on our video. But now I want to add subtitles in other languages. So to do that, click on add language, and I'm going to go through all the countries I do. So I do Chinese, I do Czech, I do Dutch, I do French, I mean you can pick whatever you want, there's loads, there's even Klingon on here, believe it or not. I'll show you that in a second. German, I do Greek, I do Hindi, I don't know who watched the videos in Klingon, I have to say, look, Klingon. I do Latvian, and then I go over to Polish, then I do Portuguese, where is that, Portuguese, I do Romanian. This is just like a cross-section of my audience, so if you are in a different language, then you might have a different selection here. So Romanian, Russian, and then I do Spanish. I think that's a good cross-section there. And then this is the simple part, if you want to add subtitles in Chinese, because I uploaded this to this file here, English, all I've got to do is click add, and auto-translate, and it auto-translates and then publish into Chinese. Do the same for Czech, auto-translate, publish, that's Czech done. Dutch, auto-translate, publish. See how easy this is? And you just basically continue working down the list, and then that will give your viewers the option to watch your videos with closed captions in their language. So, this isn't 100% foolproof. Obviously, the Google translations which it's using is not going to be perfect, but it's better to have some understanding than no understanding at all. But that is how you quite simply add subtitles from other languages to all your videos. Now, it takes about two hours, I said, to process your video, to have those auto-generated subtitles on your channel. Sometimes it can take longer. I've known it to take overnight, to be honest with you. But once they're on there, you can actually use that file to upload to your own language and then convert it to whatever language you want, even Klingon. I hope that's been a big help for you anyway. And I really hope you enjoy some of the content that's on the World of Wayne channel. Once again, if you haven't subscribed already, please click that subscribe button and give me a thumbs up and click that bell notification, and I will let you know when the next videos are out. Other than that, take care.
