The Chinese startup DeepSeek's AI assistant ChetGPT has become the top-rated free application in the US on Apple's App Store. According to a report published in Donnews, DepSeek's V3 model, which will be released on January 10, its developers claim that it is superior in open-source models and is competing with the latest closed-source model on a global scale. AppData Research firm SensorTower says that the DepSeek V3 model's AI application has been gaining popularity in the US since its release. DepSeek's popularity has had a major impact on Silicon Valley, which is weakening the US dominance in the field of artificial intelligence, and restrictions on acquiring new chip and AI skills are also emerging from the US side.
