Speaker 1: So, in this video, I'm going to tell you about, like, my experience, my transcription experience on a platform called SpeechPad, right? And I'm also going to suggest, like, transcription platforms, which you can try in 2024. Now, before I do that, it is important, like, to note that transcription is literally quite a dying industry right now, right? AI has done a lot of damage, especially to transcription companies, right? Like, more transcription companies no longer receive the work that they used to receive before the whole AI thing. So, yeah, that's a problem. Like, right now, people prefer to do, like, the work themselves, right? It's easier now to just go to a certain website, upload your stuff, and then get a transcript. so first of all i'm just going to uh share with you like my personal experience on speechpad and basically the process the whole process that i went through just to register for my account and how i started working on speechpad right so uh when i started working on speechpad uh what happened is that um i went like through a regular like application process right i went to the website and tried to apply on SpeechPay using like the normal application process right so when I tried to apply on the website I came across a notice which stated that SpeechPay was like not like taking new applicants and stuff and I was a little bit maybe disappointed but what I did was that I I found an email, their workers email. I simply like sent an email like for consideration like in case maybe something opens up in their company so I sent them an email. I also attached my CV as well so I just sent it like that. So like it took me like two days to get a response and a lady called Crystal actually responded to me and she actually sent me like some instructions and what i needed to do like uh she said that i suppose i'm supposed to take like a test a certain test so that i can be approved and stuff took the test i passed the test and that was it like and another agent called jill actually reached out to me and and congratulating me and stuff and also sent me like some instructions about you know the platform and also how it works and like what to report to if i need some help so and i did kind of like read some of that guidelines and stuff and also like how they um review calls some of the things but i didn't like absorb much of the information kind of focus on a few you know key things that i needed to understand first before i should transcribe files then from there i was a full transcriber and yeah it was amazing and the files that i did mostly ran you from 25 cents to a dollar but that was the highest especially for me as a newbie yeah so there were some good paying files there and what i love about speech print is that uh the people they kind of treat you like a human being right um unlike other platforms where they're likely treated like a robot you know they're also available to assist you whenever you need some help right the issues that i was not experienced that was my major issue i was not experienced because speech paid works like this right they have like um a writing system you have to stay in a certain level right there's a certain percentage that you need to be at so that you can get like consistent work you can't drop below that percentage because if you do you won't have access to work so like the more you work the higher the quality of the files that you provide and the more tests that you take um there's actually more tests i need to take like so that other files um will be opened for you so so before i joined speech period i didn't like transcription that much but after i kind of like started to like it so i had some fun i enjoyed my my work there so as i've said earlier that transcription is a dying industry but there are still companies who are still hiring and then the first one is rev right a river has been around for a long time so i actually confirmed with a friend of mine that uh yeah rev is still kind of like accepting your applicants right but you need to live in certain countries that's the countries which rev doesn't accept so you have to live in a red country and places such as south africa american other places and the next one is daily transcription now daily transcription usually accept clients from the u.s canada united kingdom and a few other you know countries but yeah it is still hiring for sure so if you are from those countries you can try transcription as i've said but it is a dying industry right so guys thank you for watching this video and see you on the next one
