[00:00:00] Speaker 1: When U.S. Special Forces grabbed Venezuelan strongman Nicolas Maduro, they also took his wife Celia Flores as well. But why? Well, that's because a U.S. court has also indicted Flores. That indictment accuses Flores, along with Maduro, his son, and other members of Venezuela's elite of working with what the U.S. calls narco-trafficking gangs or cartels. She's even accused of ordering kidnappings, beatings, and murders. Now, we've not heard from Celia Flores since she and Nicolas Maduro were taken in that U.S. raid, but she was known as being the strong woman at Maduro's side, herself politically active and a staunch Chavista, a follower of the ideology of the former socialist leader of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez. And under that ideology, she wasn't officially called the first lady of Venezuela, but Venezuela's first combatant.
