Speaker 1: Hi everyone, this is Simon Chan. Welcome to my No BS, No Hype Network Marketing Training. Who is cold out here? I'm doing a little outdoor shoot out in Vancouver. It is cold. I don't know if you can see back there, the mountains. So, sorry if I can't really talk today. It's pretty cold. At least cold for someone who's living in Los Angeles. So, one of the questions people ask me for the new year is you know, they have these new year's goals and what should they be doing each day? What should I be doing to make my goals happen, to get my rank advancements? Because they have big goals. And the most important thing, I mean, success is very simple, right? You make a choice. It's not by chance. The thing that's helped, that's proven, is every day you commit yourself to doing the five core production activities. Five core production activities. And if you don't know, I'm going to give you more detail on my website. Go to Simon W. Chan, forward slash, the number five, and then core. C-O-R-E. The five core. So, what are these five core production activities? Number one is you have to be, what I call, marketing. Meeting new contacts every day. One of the biggest mistakes people make is that they run out of people to talk to. They run out of people to talk to, they run out of lists. I sponsored a few people in the list, but after a couple months, they ran out of people. So, you want to avoid that trap. You always want to be building that list. And generally, don't, what I call the three feet rules. I meet everyone within my three feet, but I don't prospect them. I build relationships with them and build contacts. So, that's very important. Recently, I just talked to an associate that wanted to meet one contact a week. And I just say, if you do one contact a week, you know, you're going to take forever to reach your goals. You need to do two contacts a day. That should be a goal. And it could be someone you meet online or offline, but you want to meet two people a day. The second thing to do for the five core is you've got to be prospecting every day. So, these are contacts you've established, you have a relationship with. You have to be prospecting them. At least, you know, at least two people minimum. If possible, do five people. That's a success. What I did, I talked to five and I didn't care where the five no's, rejections. I just want to talk to five people, right? So, that's the second five. Second thing you do. The third thing is you want to be following up with your old prospects. And so, these are people who you have prospected to before. They may have said no to you. They may not be interested. But you have to talk to them, follow up with them, because the fortune is in the follow up. You know, 80% of sales is done after the fifth follow up. So, you have to be following up with them. The fourth thing is, and this is my favorite and I can talk on and on about it. You go to my trainings, I talk about it all the time, the self-development. You know, self-development is so important. It's the, you know, we can learn almost anything you want nowadays with the internet. Everything's out there, the books. You can research seminars, courses, but you got to do it. Every day, you got to be learning. And some people say you don't have time to do it. Well, it's not an excuse anymore because there's audios and there's audio books. Go download them, go buy them. And speaking of buying, this was a mindset shift for me too. Don't be cheap with your self-development. You know, if you need to save money, save money on other things. Right? But don't be cheap on your self-development because you'll be cheating yourself. Okay? Go and get that book you want. Go get that course because whatever you learn, you'll make that money back easily. Okay? The last thing is, number five. And you know what, getting back to self-development, what just astounds me is People will go out there, go to bars and buy a beer or a club and buy a drink for $10, $12. Whatever they sell them, buy a couple beers or buy a lunch. Eat lunch for $20, but they won't spend $15, $20 on a book or a course. That could make them thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars. It boggles the mind. Right? So don't be cheap. The last thing for the five core is you got to talk to your team. Talk to your team. Talk to your upline, downline, cross-lines. Get plugged in. That's one of the benefits of a five-star mastermind group. Every week we meet, we get plugged in to successful, motivated people. You want to follow with people who are like-minded and successful because the people you spend time with will determine where you're going to go. Right? There's a good saying, where you're going to be five years from now is determined by your self-development, by the places you travel, because it opens your mind, gives you ideas, and also by the people you meet. So talk to your team. Don't worry about bottling your upline. Call them. The people I work closely with, they contact me all the time. Even my mastermind members, the ones who contact me all the time, I see them grow the fastest. So talk to your team. So those are the five things. You want to set goals? Those are the five things you have to do every single day. Make this year a great year. Five things. Number one, again, is to do marketing, which means meeting new contacts, meeting new people to build up your database. Number two is to prospect. You know, prospect those contacts you have. Share them opportunities. This is the first meeting. And it can be no's, no's. There will be rejections, but you've got to do it. Because sooner or later, you'll find those people. Number three is to follow up with the people that you have talked to. Right? You've got to be following up every day. And number four is to self-development. Investing in yourself so you can get better. And number five is talking to your team. Talking to successful people every single day. Communicate with them. Have a mastermind, have a partner, because they keep you in the game. Because there will be times when you're not motivated. Right? So just they will keep you in the game. So those are the five things. Again, go to my website. If you want more information, Simon W. Chan, 4 slash 5 Core. Number 5 and C-O-R-E. And, again, that's self-development. We have a lot of videos on the YouTube channel. You can also go to my website. Those are the things, minimum, you can do. But go out there. Find out what your weaknesses are. Self-development. Again, I told you I could go on and on about it. But I think I've talked enough. Those are the five things you should do. Commit them. If you do that for 30 straight days, I guarantee you'll see the results. And your business will change and your life will change. Alright, everyone. Thank you for watching. This is Simon Chan. See you guys next time. Take care.
