Speaker 1: Our next topic is users and user management. Now users are of course very, very important to your platform. Basically what you can do with user management and with your audiences is decide what can they see on the front end. So which of these courses can they access, can they see everything, can they only see certain ones of them, and you can then decide how each user can have basically their own experience with their own audience. You can of course also set this for webinars to make sure that I can only see the webinars that are meant for me personally. The users will be able to see on the front end what their profile looks like, they'll be able to edit their profile picture and some key basic elements of their profile. But besides that, all the user management will really be done in the back office, which Julia will show you now.

Speaker 2: Hi, thanks a lot, Mariel. Now we're going to see how you can manage the users from the backend point of view. So now we're on the admin panel and there are certain elements that need to be briefly discussed here. So first of all, how to bulk add users, how to add a single user, as well as how to manage the audiences and what is the audience in general. So first of all, when it comes to bulk adding users, you just simply download the Excel template that we prepared for you, and you just fill in the Excel file with the proper data. So the name, the surname, the email address, and whether the user should be active or not. If there are some audiences on your platform, you can also type the proper audience or several audiences there. Later on, as soon as you fill in this Excel template, you can just add it here. And by doing this, you will have hundreds of users bulk uploaded. When it comes to adding a single user, you just click here. And first of all, you need to type in the email address, first name, last name. You can also choose some profile avatar for them. And lastly, you just need to choose what content access they should have. So we go for all students for now. As for the audiences, we can manage them here. You can add a single audience here, for example, test audience, and just save and exit. And you can either delete the audience or edit it here. You can also add a description if you'd like. The reason for using audiences is to assign certain courses to particular groups of users. For example, if we have an onboarding course, we want it to be visible to all the users that registered to the platform. And that's completely fine. We just leave it as it is. We do not assign any audience to that. But if we have certain departments, for example, HR department, and some courses designed especially for this department, we can create such an audience and assign this course to the newly created audience. Users can be added to several audiences. So it's up to you what you want. So it's all up to you here. As you can see, this user has access to three audiences. But for example, this user has access to only one audience. Besides, you can also manage roles. So if you have some content managers or some admins or only user managers, then you can add such roles here and select permissions for them. And then you can easily edit a user and assign them to the newly created audience here. You just search for it. And if you want them to be, for example, content manager, then just simply put their role here as well. You can also see what are the actions taken by all the users on the platform by searching through audit log. And you can, of course, download the user's data here. If you'd like to search through certain audience, for example, or some other filters, then you can click here and choose some filters, for example, member of audience. Then we click apply and we just select the audience that we're interested in. So then we can see only the students that are assigned to all students audience. What's also really vital in terms of learning platform is to check the statistics for certain users. For example, we can go for this user and we can see what is his progress on the courses that he's assigned to. What are his achievements? We can, of course, award a badge as an admin here. We can check whether he scores on leaderboard as well if he has any certificates. We can check what he has done on the platform, whether he registered, whether he logged in, when he logged in. So it's all here. And you can also reset their password if they forget one. In addition, if you'd like to inform all of the users or certain users about new feature coming or about a new course coming, you can just choose, for example, all users here and click on this little purple icon here. Put the subject, for example, new course and place a message saying, hi, we have just uploaded a new course to the platform. Come and see or whatever. And just click send. And then the email will be sent to all of the users. Thanks a lot for watching. And now I hope user management on the platform will be just a piece of cake for you. See you in the next video.
