Speaker 1: When we talk about some standards of the translator's position, what is already an undisputed standard, is that the industry in 99% of cases calculates the order by word, the word somehow overcame the calculation by card, which was perhaps more dominant before. The industry requires a quick response, a quick reaction, a quick confirmation of availability, but also a very fast work, thanks to the technologies that enable us to do this. And some standard in the international world of the translation industry is to translate between 1500 and 2500 words a day, which is perhaps a slightly larger number for a beginner translator, but in fact a slightly more experienced translator with several years of experience can easily translate this amount. Translating 2500 words corresponds to about a dozen cards, if you can still think of cards. And the standard is certainly the work in CAT tools and QA tools, that is, that you are able to do your translation and make some basic quality control before using it. When we talk about some trends, they are still new for now, but as it seems in the last few years, they may become more dominant in the industry. First of all, processes are being automated, that is, there is less direct communication and more ordering via automated systems. So this is something you can expect when working with agencies, that you may be recruited at the beginning for a project, and then, over a long period of time, you get automatic notifications and systems, for example, on this project. The second trend is agility in localization. This is a term that you may have heard in IT. In fact, the trend is simply put, that localization and the localization process are adapted to rapid changes in content, especially software content. And the ability to quickly translate a large number of short messages that relate to the updating of content. Another trend is that CAT tools are being integrated with the systems used by the client. So, if it is possible, there is no longer the export of documents, sending via e-mail, but everything is automatically connected to the CAT tool. If we are talking about a website, it is possible to connect the CAT tool with WordPress and save possible content for translation. Translation is automatically sent and published on the website. And another trend that is growing, this is perhaps a bitter-sweet topic in the translation industry, is machine translation, that is, machine translation, which turns out to be not a fashionable trend, but the use of machine translation is growing more and more. And this is perhaps some future aspect of your expertise, that some of you will partially turn your specialization in that area, to do post-editing, that is, revision and adaptation of machine translation. For now, it is dominant for some technical translations, in the future it is expected maybe for legal, for now for creative texts it is still not so good that we could replace human translation, but this is something that awaits us in the future, and if you are interested in that area, maybe it would be worthwhile to educate and specialize a little.
