Speaker 1: Dr. Agadja, yes sir. Nice to meet you. I'm from Ohio. My dad's from Nigeria. Yes, sir. Well, we appreciate you all having us. We're good. We're good. We're happy to take care of these guys. So last time went pretty smoothly. So we're hoping to do the same. A big reason I came to Ochsner Health. I knew that they had a great sports medicine program, but even more so than that, they are huge advocates of community outreach, especially being a non-profit organization. And that was something I really wanted to get involved in. Awesome. So everything sounds good. Okay. Let me just feel your lymph nodes really quick. Why don't you go ahead and take a deep breath in for me and out. There was a colleague of mine who said, hey, this school has a need. And I know that you've done work with community outreach stuff. And so, hey, can you help? And so we did it once. And then they were like, hey, you know, we didn't know where to go for that initially, but now we have a person, can you come back? And so we were happy to help. Did all that get better? Any of that still bothering you? Okay, good. Have you done physical activity since? So these physicals are good for making sure that if there's any lingering injuries, we're addressing it. If there's any new problems, those are getting addressed. And then just making sure overall that these guys are good and healthy and that there's no concern before they go out there on the field. Can I grab my fingers? I know you feel silly, but you're good. You have to think about it. At the end of the day, not everybody has availability to the same resources, right? Everybody, sometimes families are sharing a car. Sometimes families don't even have a car, so their transportation is a bus. How do we get to that appointment? Or previously when I was a pediatrician, sometimes, you know, we're sitting there and we're talking about healthy food options and things that we can be doing, vegetables and things like that. But hey, when we were back in Detroit, there was only one grocery store in the entire city and it's a Whole Foods and it's not even affordable for our patients. So a lot of what they're getting is like processed foods and boxed foods off the shelves at convenience stores and things like that. It's like, hey, the book says to do it this way, but you also have to factor in your treatment plan. Like what do they have available to them and how is that going to play a role in how they're able to sustain the treatment plan, so to speak, and be compliant with it. I can do this one. Don't laugh. Don't you laugh at me. Don't you laugh at me. All right. Don't act like, come on. All right. So then you show me what you got. Oh, you're gonna, oh no. You shy up on me. You're gonna laugh at me and then you ain't gonna show me what you got. You said you could do a lot better than what I did, huh? See, there you go. You got it. So I don't have enough hips. I don't have enough hips. You know, the biggest thing with these guys is, you know, being relatable, making sure you're kind of like meeting them where they're at. And so I like to have fun. I know a lot of times these guys are liking to dance and things like that. And so, you know, you got to build that trust. And so however we can build that relationship so that we can make sure that, hey, you feel trusted, that you can talk to me and let me know what issues you might possibly be having. And then we can take the next steps and make sure we address those. I'm a firm believer in paying it forward. I didn't get here where I'm at today without somebody like making sacrifices. And so this is an opportunity for me to come and pay it forward to these guys and show them that somebody cares and they're willing to dedicate their time. And I just feel like it's my calling and this is God put me in this position to go out there and make an impact. And so that's what I want to do. However, I can help these kids and things like that. A lot of times if it's volunteering my time or however I can do that, I'm happy to do it. Okay. Okay. I got you. Okay. Oh no. It's the effort that counts, right? It's in the effort. All right. We'll leave it at that.
