+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: So you're looking to communicate with employees more effectively. Well, you're not alone and you're in the right place. I'm going to share some great things that have worked well for me over the years communicating with my employees. And to be honest, if it wasn't for communicating effectively, there'd be no way that we'd have 100 employees today. So stay tuned. So thank you for tuning in to Grow by Joe. In this video, we're going to talk about how to communicate better with your staff, with your employees, with your people. It's super important. If you can't communicate with your employees, if you can't be effective, it's just going to make your business, your life that much more challenging at the office. So number one, be clear and concise. But I like this better, clarify and verify. A lot of the times you'll go over something with an employee and they'll take it a completely different way. So it's super important that you're clarifying and verifying. Put this into work and you'll be surprised how often whatever you're saying is taken in three different ways by three different people. Number two is empathy. Understand your employees. Understand what motivates and drives your employees and do this on an individual basis. Every employee in your company will be motivated by different things. Some of those things will overlap. But if you can understand what drives and motivates people and also just understand them better, they'll actually listen to you when you're talking to them and actually care about the things that you have to say if you care about them. So think about that one. Number three, face-to-face communication. Now, you may say, all right, thanks for number three. But think about this. I mean, today we're communicating via text message, email, and a lot of that face-to-face slowly starting to fade away. You might not even realize it. So make sure that you're having face-to-face communications with your employees, your management team. It's super important. And again, going back to clarifying and verifying, you know, an email can get taken three different ways, 10 different ways. I mean, so it's super important to have that face-to-face and ensure that what you're communicating is being taken the right way in the right context, which leads me right into number four. Make sure you're communicating regularly. It's that simple. Number five, listen and take your employees' input seriously. No matter what level your business is at, and especially if it's grown, you'd be really surprised. A lot of the employees know and do things at this point better than you can in certain areas. So really take their input seriously. As your business has grown, processes and procedures may be a little bit different than you remember. So take their input seriously, especially if they're the ones on the front lines dealing with your customers. That input is so, so invaluable. Number six, let your employees try new ideas and try new things. You may say, well, what does this have to do with communicating more effectively? You may not realize this, but by not letting your staff try things and always hard-stopping everything and not giving them the ability, you know, to actually fail or maybe even be successful with an idea, you may actually be communicating that you don't care or take them seriously or that their input doesn't matter. You may be subliminally sending the wrong messages and don't even realize it. So let them try something new. What's the worst that can happen? And number seven, give respect to get respect. Just because you're the owner of the company doesn't mean that you can dictate everything and expect that everyone's just going to do everything. If you show your staff respect and that you truly respect them, they'll respect you at a much higher level and it'll be so much more effective in your business. I hope you found these seven points really helpful and I hope they make a huge impact in your business and the success of your business. These are things that you have to constantly do and constantly remind yourself of. I have to constantly remind myself of all these things and implement them always into my business. If you'd like to find out more about me and my business, please check out that link below. Again, I really hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for tuning in. Take care and we'll talk soon. you
