With Smarter ULMS, Anna can create and configure learning plans, assign training to learners, verify actions, and monitor learner progress. Learning plans provide a way to bundle and deliver a series of courses. They provide learners with a roadmap of their training while giving administrators and managers insight into learners' progress. Anna needs to quickly roll out new higher-compliance training for the company, so she creates a basic learning plan. Using a learning plan lets her quickly include the courses and actions learners need with just a few clicks. She selects the courses employees need to complete. Next, she specifies the actions they need to take. Actions are the tasks learners must complete. For example, each employee needs to submit a copy of their photo ID. Anna can control whether employees must submit a file. She can also require an authorized user, such as a supervisor, to review and approve the action to confirm it's complete. In just a short time, Anna has set up her new higher-compliance training. She also needs to set up safety compliance training. This training has more complex requirements. Anna uses SmarterU's Advanced Learning Plans feature, which gives her greater flexibility to fine-tune the learning plan's components. Anna begins by creating a safety compliance learning plan. Within this learning plan, she sets up two certifications. Certifications are the competencies that a user must demonstrate. The first certification is Safety Basics. Learners will only need to complete this certification once. The second is the Annual Safety Compliance Certification that learners must complete each year. Each of the certifications has its own customizable requirements which learners must fulfill. Let's take a closer look at how she sets them up. She adds a requirement to the Safety Basics certification and specifies the courses learners must complete. Because learners aren't required to retake the courses in this requirement, she sets it up so it doesn't expire. Next, she focuses on the Annual Safety Compliance Certification. She adds a requirement to the certification and specifies the courses learners must complete. Because learners must complete this certification each year, she sets it up to expire annually. SmarterU allows her to expire it on a specific date or after a number of days. Anna also sets up a warning period so learners see a visual reminder 90 days before the course expires. SmarterU has a number of other features that make it easy to manage compliance training. For example, she can set up electives for her learners so they can choose from a set of courses or course formats. Notifications ensure that her training manager is updated when a learner completes their certification. Scheduled reminders notify learners before their course is due. Enrollment automation ensures that learners are automatically assigned the courses they need for annual compliance training. Anna has several options for assigning learning plans. She can manually assign learning plans to individuals from their user profiles. For example, when adding new employees to SmarterU. SmarterU LMS also allows Anna to assign learning plans in bulk using an import or through the API. Or, Anna can even give learners control of their development by allowing them to self-enroll. Learners assigned a learning plan can easily identify what they need to do using SmarterU's intuitive interface. They can view a linear to-do list of the courses and actions they need to complete, or a hierarchical layout they can drill down into. Whatever option they use, SmarterU's color-coded statuses help them focus their efforts. To track learner progress, Anna looks at SmarterU's color-coded status charts, which she can click on to view more details. Anna can also run SmarterU's learning plan report to track learners' progress with their training. When setting up the report, Anna can add filters, customize what columns to include, and choose how to display the data. She can even save the report to run again or schedule it to run automatically. SmarterU LMS gives Anna the tools to deliver compliance training. Basic and advanced learning plans give Anna the flexibility to handle the company's diverse training requirements. Manual assignments, automated enrollments, and self-enrollments let Anna control how training is assigned, while automated reminders and customizable reports ensure timely insights.
