Speaker 1: Well. Welcome to the Maintenance Learning Opportunities podcast and here's your
Speaker 2: host Mr. Robert Taylor. Thank you Robbie. We've been working hard on the LMS conversion. I know you've been hearing me talk about it all year so far. The good news is things have moved forward, signed contracts are in place, we have begun the kind of final build out of what we plan to pour. We're hoping over the next couple of weeks to start receiving some training on back-end functionality so that we can get ready to start moving stuff over. I encourage, don't take this as me trying to panic anybody, I'm not, but if you are in the middle of a learning path, i.e. site plan slash smart operations manager, if you're in the middle of that, if you're in the middle of fundamentals, if you're in the middle of Yardy, if you are in the middle of microbial growth, you might want to pick up the pace because when this gets ready to roll out, anyone who has not completed those that is in the middle of it will be reassigned the new version, which is a little more information. It's smaller classes, there's just more what we classify as micro-learnings, so we've kind of shortened class length, we've put more of them in, but if you're halfway through a learning path, you may have to repeat some stuff because that's just the way the system works, so we encourage you to get that stuff done ahead of time. Also, the plan is for those of you who are in the middle of other learning paths, such as plumbing, appliance, gate systems, you may want to get as far as you can at those. When you get to where it says workshop, just go in and unenroll from the learning path because obviously I'm going to be working on the conversion of the LMS, so I'm not going to be out teaching workshops anytime soon. We have some big changes coming in the way that we're going to do those workshops, so try to get those done for the online content, then unenroll because those ones I mentioned, plumbing, appliance, gates, those will not be ported over initially because we are rebuilding those classes where, for example, appliance basics, which was like an hour and 30-minute basic class, is actually going to end up being like 10 smaller classes where we're going to have a refrigerator repair class, a dishwasher repair class, where we're going to break out the individual appliances so they can be used a little more efficiently, but those we won't be porting over. Those will continue to roll out throughout next year as we do the rebuilds on them. You will see changes coming to the onboarding training. I can't reveal what it is because that's still being ironed out, and you will most importantly see revisions, revamping, rewriting, reformatting of the monthly safety meetings. You will see more detail, you will see more direction, and you will see a few more prerequisites because to reduce the burden during onboarding and anniversary time, we are putting a little more of the continuous training mandated by OSHA into the monthly safety meeting. So it's going to be a little more compliance related. And then the final thing we're working on, which kind of involves Robbie's team, we don't know where this is going, what the time frame is, but we are looking at a method to track EPA certification with all of the refrigerant changes, equipment changes, asset tracking, and all of those things that are going on in the world right now concerning HVAC. EPA certification has become a big priority, and we're starting to hear stories of significant fines for people not having the proper certifications. So Robbie has been so kind, I made a request and he has produced, we are now running it through the appropriate channels, but you will see some renewed efforts to make sure that we have the latest and the greatest on what all of our maintenance people have in the way of EPA certifications, certified pool operator certifications, and certified pool inspector certifications. We have some plans, we're trying to get out there, not 100% certain what the final outcome will be, but we have tested some stuff that seems to work really well, and we're excited about that. So lots of new stuff coming, and I get asked all the time, when's the new LMS going to launch? Now I could be a smart aleck and say what I was told this time last year, but that day has come and gone, and I will tell you, we are working hard. We would like to see a launch before the end of this year. That's what we're shooting for. I think we're going to be able to do it, at least the maintenance side stuff is really the only stuff I can speak to. We are ready to go. The new fundamentals learning paths have been created. The new safety learning paths have been created. The new microbial growth learning paths have been created, and the new Yardi learning path has been created. Smart operations manager, there's some rebranding going on with that. That will probably roll out kind of in its current form, mainly because there's some more in-depth stuff we want to do with it, but we will be ready for launch with all of that. So we are moving forward. We have some cool ideas. I've had some conversations with some people at HR, and we are moving forward with a lot of cool stuff for the training. Stay tuned. Please share this podcast with your teammates. Let them know. I use the podcast all the time when I have people reach out to me saying, how do I do this? How do I do that? And my response is, we have a podcast on that. I send them the link. Take the time. Make sure you're subscribed, first of all. Make sure you hit the notification bell so that you get notified when we upload new stuff, but also share with the rest of your team, because this is where, earlier today, Robbie and I did a recording on the facilities channel that discusses the upcoming new refrigerants and some timetables and frequently asked questions on that. So that's over a year in advance of the actual deadline. So you want to say, I always hear, well, you let us know at the last minute. No, we didn't. Robbie's really good about getting the information out there well in advance. It's just you have to take time to listen to it. So we're excited. We have a lot of positive stuff going on. Things are getting great. We have some new news coming soon on some virtual reality training that I'm not going to go into details because we want to give the licensees a chance to learn the product. But we have some exciting new news coming on that as well. So maintenance training is expanding. I mean, it's hard to believe that just five short years ago when I started, we had half of one class and now we have 450 plus with more in the pipeline. So pretty exciting stuff. Robbie,
Speaker 1: any questions or comments? No, everything is good. Appreciate everything you and your team does to keep all our maintenance training going and enhancing on it. And I know everything is really focused towards the new LMS system and looking forward to that when it does roll out. So
Speaker 2: it's pretty exciting stuff. Well, I appreciate everything that everyone does out there. We are trying to redesign this in a way that makes it easier for you to find time to take the training. I know how hard it is to find an hour to sit down and take a class. So we're designing all of our classes with a target time of 30 minutes or less. The bulk of a lot of the micro training we're doing, like policy stuff, is five minutes or less. So we're trying to get you the information you need to effectively do your job, but it's a process. So we appreciate everything you do and I'm going to join Robbie in his traditional stay safe out there. We appreciate you and we will see you next month. Thank you.
